Which is the reason why we sat back and absorbed pressure, because we simply couldn't keep up the constant pressing for the remainder of the game. A fast player would be able to bring the ball away from our half and reduce pressure on our final third while increasing the awareness required for the opposition defence. Counter attacking, or scoring from counter is only part of he job.

His presence is enough to generate a reaction from the opposition. Whether it worked or not is another question, but it is a valid strategy and is common throughout football.

No offense but do you really think Jardim is a better coach than Conte or Simeone? Since Mou we havent had the opportunity to get good managers. For the majority of time we have gone with the best option available to us as we arent going to get coaches of the level of Mourinho or Ancellotti anymore. We are lucky to even have Simeone as an option due to his history here and turning him down is a halfwit decision. You make it sound like getting top tier coaches is an easy feat when there arent many of them but plenty of tier 3 (Pioli level coaches).

Right now, nope. But he has the potential to be better than both, but more importantly I really don't like Simeone's or Conte's style of football and if Suning are serious about making us a top brand in football they shouldn't either.

My favorite choice is Allegri anyways, but Jardim should be much easier to get.

He was never formally appointed as a caretaker, for all intents and purposes, he's a regular coach just like De Boer and Mancini before him. His contract expires in 2018, if I'm not mistaken.

We just assumed he's a caretaker and treated him accordingly because there's no way Suning would ever trust him with a 150m budget.
