Interestingly i only knew of Kanye through Dilated Peoples and Later Paul Wall. But he was producing for the Roc before that but i only knew him a a producer on Jay Z Albums.

He does have solid tracks, Two Words with Freeway and Mos Def at the time stood out. Diamonds as well i always liked. He does have great tracks in his catalogue but as you guys mentioned, we never looked at him as a great MC and generally his music was more pop and R&B and his voice is trash as far as rappers go.

I’ve been on EST Gee pretty heavy lately. I like his rawness. If you don’t like southern trap rap he’s not for you but he’s got underrated bars for that sub-genre.
