For the record let me just say I am not a fan of the movements, however we all say they ruined hip hop when in fact they probably made more money then any other period before hand when talking about artists in the same section.

Does money = success? another argument for another day.

oh and btw, there is still good music coming out. Its jsut a matter of turning off the radio and knowing where to get your shit. example? ok, well let me say I have never heard of Mims and im still yet to hear his track. The same goes for that hang your chain low crap or whatever it was..I have NEVER heard the songs. The same is said for fitty cent and his group of arrogant monkeys who I cant name let alone listen to their music.

enzee, you have some good taste bro. I'm contemplating buying the new Bone Thugs too. I still remember E 1999 like it was yesterday and they were on top of the game. Songs I listend to by BTNH the past couple days:

I Tried (not classic Bone but a damn good song regardless)
If I could teach the World
Crossroads
1st of that month (my favorite BTNH track ever)
Thug Luv
Ghetto Cowboy (Krayzie and Layzie)
Notorious Thugs (dont know anyone that dislikes this song. pure fire with biggie)

I like a couple of bone thug tracks, but generally I find them annoying..along with the mo thugs.

i actually rate individual releases from btnh more then the collabs.

Man your from the east coast how could you forget NaS and Biggie??

I don't know why, but I don't really like either of their music. For Biggie, I respect him more as a man than a rapper.

yeahhhhh, my boy mahdi holdin' it down. no need for me to even further compare Biggie and Bone Thugs. Biggie outshines them at their own shit.

Jay-Z came close...but everyone else who tried that failed.

Nas being a hypocrite or not..who gives a damn? He is lyrically almost unmatched....and Nastradamus would have been even a bulshit album if it was done by diddy..

Oh....and Clipse, Ghost and Lupe definetly had albums of the year..

I don't know or care enough to quote enzee about Nas, but I'm sorry, It Was Written was a great album and I find it scary that we have such a different outlook on it. I obviously respect his knowledge and take what he says seriously, but I can honestly say that I find IWW to be his most complete work and I listen to it almost as much as I listen to Illmatic.

Other then that, Lupe had the album of the year, followed by Nas, IMO.

What's wrong with Akon mike? The guy is on fire right now and people don't like him because of that alone

Where did I diss Akon? lol

I'm just saying someone who is impressed with Akon but doesn't like Nas is something I just don't understand bro. Akon's good for listening in the car here in there just like Lil Weezy is but I don't go around praising them.

Khaled, I respect your knowledge or whatever but I've barely listened to KRS-One (I'm not really all the fond of those oldschool sounding beats), I'm a big fan of WTC, Biggie AND Tupac but Nas appeals to me and alot of other people more than all of them.

Illmatic is one album but IWW is another one and so is Stillmatic and Godson.
