I see your point here. However, I remember 2 years ago Facchetti said that Inter are producing many Italian players (even future talents) for other Italian clubs. They don't realy have to play in Inter.

Example: We already have two regular Italians in the Under-21 Italian NT, Andreolli and Aquafresca. Even if they never played for Inter again, Inter would still be contributing to the Italian NT by producing them in the first place.

Many Serie A+B clubs have Italians produced by Inter. Another example: Marco Fortin. A regular Serie A goalkeeper who plays for Cagliari (played for Siena in the last 5 seasons). He came from Inter's youth system, but never played for us.

Inter aren't realy producing players for other countries. We didn't produce Zlatan, Cordoba, Zanetti, Cambiasso, Maicon, Vieira, Dacourt etc etc. They just play for us and the club pays them money for that. But we do produce Italians for other Serie A+B clubs. They should thank us for giving them those players, not criticize us.

Well... these other nationalities won't fill out our stadium in derby. Anyway, Inter is the second most popular club in Italy. What is the chance that some good Italian has become as good with a dream of playing for Inter. It's not like players openly shout out who they support. Quite sure we can find few of such lads in Italian national team aswell. Unless Inter is and has been supported only by untalented youngsters.

It's impossible to find a great Italian that we know supports Inter because we don't know who most of the Italian great one's are really passionate about.

Most money comes from TV Rights deal so if we have a bigger following outside of Italy it's actually better for us. Especially in the emerging asian markets.

Personally I would prefer to see a few more Inter produced youngsters come through. It doesn't matter which nationality I just feel that lads who come through the youth system are likely to be more pro Inter it doesn't matter which nationality. But being part of the Inter system for a long does matter imho.

But off course they must be good enough to play for Inter, no just putting lads in the team for the sake of it.

That is the main problem, Stefan. I bet if Balotelli were to leave Inter in 2-4 years time, there would be noise here. But if Balotelli would leave, it was surely because he wasn't doing good enough. You can't just include players for the sake of it.

And Moratti said it as well today. With short-future targets you must use experienced players. This is the way it goes at Inter now. Maybe in 6-7 years time, Inter will make a ManU-like approach to the transfer market (it's ok not to win the league for a couple of years, as long as there is progress with the youngsters), but not now. We've won too few trophies just yet.

Well as of right now...if all the players are fit and playing....we would have only italian in the line-up....materazzi.

I dont really care about inter having italian player or not, thats not really the point but there is ONE ITALIAN player i would love to see at inter soon....and that is Quagiarella...i think he is the perfect CF and i would love to see him at inter after Crespo and Cruz retire.

Rosina needs more time. Don't get me wrong, he's turning into an excellent player, but I don't think he's ready for the big stage just yet. Not that it matters as we wouldn't go after him anyways noting the extreme reluctance of having Italians on our team lol

No we wouldn't go after him because Toro would place a ridiculous price tag on. While we could get the same talent for half the price Toro would ask.

But if the price is right I would want rosina. He still needs to prove this season he isn't a one season wonder but so far he is doing that.

So if Toldo retires, Jimenez goes back to Ternana, and IF we'll have to include the 4+4, then we'll need three Italian players for the CL next season, plus Materazzi.

A player(s) like Rosina would be useful next season. We don't want to have 7 useless players out of 25. That's a very small squad.

No it's not. It's likely but it hasn't been approved by UEFA only this season 3+3 is officially approved.

I have an issue with signing a player who supports juve or milan. Any other side but those 2. It has nothing to do with nationality. It could be an argentine but if he says he supports milan or juve I don't want him at Inter.

It's irrational but it's the way I feel about this issue.

Milan I understaind, but why do you feel so bad about Juventus?

They havent exsactly had a bad team.
So we dont know if we would be better than tham.
Besides, they were not the only ones who cheated.

i think the 4+4 has been confirmed

If you are talking about the cl rules. Thats home grown not necessarily Italians.

Also only this season 3+3 is confirmed they still have to pass the 4+4, it's likely to pass but it hasn't been confirmed.

Consecutive games without Italian on the team...

Inter has played 4 consecutive games without single Italian player on the team.

Since Materazzi is injured and Toldo is the only remaining Italian with the first team, it looks like this trend will continue unless Julio Cesar get injured or suspended.

Do you mind Inter playing with all foreign team?
