At the same time, some of the more fringe journalists are still saying even today that everything is advanced with pif, and that they are interested. Apparently their sources continue confirming it. Probably just doing it for clickbait, but you never know, they are strangely sticking to it despite no official confirmation or anything like that.
yeah a lot of people are still saying this.. sure it could be clickbait but they are insisting with the story, week after week. so never say never..

Tbh i haven't seen any journalist claiming the deal is done. Even unreliable ones like (Marco) Barzaghi and Pistocchi are smart enough to simply say there are advanced negotiations between the parties which basically means nothing. The only people who talk about a done deal are some random twitter accounts who are certainly going to lose plenty of followers when it doesn't happen but in a year from now no one is going to remember anything about it.

Of course there will be no official confirmation before the deal is done, but indeed there are not even actual journalists claiming anything. Bellinazzo hasn't heard of these advanced negotiations, Vanni hasn't heard posted anything.

that's true, what i anyway heard is that they reached the mou ("an expression of agreement to proceed. It indicates that the parties have reached an understanding and are moving forward. Although it is not legally binding, it is a serious declaration that a contract is imminent") while others says that it will be done soon...

Bramabati today said a similiar things, "there will be big news soon"

Imagine if it was related to refinancing our bonds and possible difficulties in it and PIF was looming around ready to come in. Antonello spoke today that there shouldn't be big problems doing the refinancing.

These fucking Twitter heroes will lay low for awhile.

Have you seen the state of Newcastle…

I’d be like…let’s just make this a bigger feeder club instead of what we had originally planned…

So whats our next hope? One of our fellow americanos will win a Powerball lottery?

Mark my words. In the summer we will lose Brozovic(FREE), DeVrij, Skriniar. To balance the "difficult financial situation" We can hold on for Bastoni, Barella, Lautaro few more years .

STAVELEY: ‘PIF TALKED TO INTER, BUT SERIE A IS A MESS’

Staveley-Newcastle-epa.jpg

Newcastle director Amanda Staveley revealed the PIF fund ‘talked to Inter’ but are not interested due to the ‘mess’ in Serie A.

The Saudi Public Investment Fund took over the Magpies in the Premier League but had been linked with a possible takeover in Milan too.

Reports in Italy suggest Saudi investment fund PIF are back in negotiations for a takeover of Inter, after Evergrande’s default put Suning in a tricky financial position.

But Staveley, the managing director of PCP Capital Partners fund and right-hand of the Arab PIF fund, revealed the Saudi owners are not interested anymore.

“We talked to Inter Milan, AC, but the problem was the structure of the league was a mess,” she said on the sidelines of a Premier League meeting, according to the Telegraph.

“We looked briefly at Bordeaux. But we are not looking at Inter [anymore].”

Staveley believes the fund has invested in ‘the greatest league in the world’ and admitted they had been given a good reception from other bosses in the Premier League.

“I have a lot of friends at other clubs,” she said. “And also, I have a lot of respect for the Premier League. I think we’ve got the greatest league in the world and I believe in the collective power of that league.”

Bellinazzo (Sole 24 Ore so legit reporter, not some Twitter idiot) said that we can refinance our bonds with better terms so that our interest payments won't be as high as before.

Issue will be anyway to bump up the revenues while reducing the costs so that we can actually do the loan payments. Nothing has changed in that regard.

Consistent top4 finish and CL knockout stage will be imperative for the club. Top4 without Scudetto however makes it harder to do knockout stages. Super league might change everything of course as that talk has come up again. Dunno how everything will be settled with that one if the club decided to go that route as there were the heavy penalties signed with UEFA.

I'd be surprised if we could get a better interest rate on them. Those bonds were actually pretty good [4.875%] in contrast to the Oaktree loan.

The valuation at the moment is 99.34 euros per bond, so the implied yield from that has actually gone up, rather than down.

If interest rates rise, which is a distinct possibility, we'll want to increase our bond coupons too to raise money. Risk has clearly increased since we issued them, too.

we'll find out soon enough. it just doesnt make ANY sense to me. Risk of default is higher, if we could raise bond funds at that level we wou;d never have taken the oaktree loan, etc etc/

Though Inter didn't take the Oaktree loan. Suning's holding company took the loan and gives shareholder loans to Inter from that.

PIF rumors just keeps living.
