Actually, considering that visa requirements probably won't be applied retroactively and that it's still uncertain what the new arrangement between Britain and the EU will be (Norway-style? Canada-style?) and how long it will take before it is implemented (as well as how long it will take for Britain to actually leave), I could see English clubs snapping up EU talent while they can still do so unhindered.

On the other hand, the pound is sinking like a stone, so maybe continental clubs are trying to shop British...

Quite possibly. It's so hard to speculate. Given we'll have 2 years minimum before any real impact, you might well be right.

- - - Updated - - -

Well Imho the Brits just fucked them selves because of their pride. From an economical point of view that decision was very poor.
Anyways I m still very skeptical if the stricter immigration rules will apply in football, as mentioned before a lot of their top players would not bee in the EPL if the rules were this strict when they got signed. I expect prices of foreign talent to increase quite a bit since they will only be able to brig in less so there will be more competition for the top talents.

Also they wont be able to bring under 18s to the UK anymore at least thats what the Gazzetta claims which also would harm their football a great deal.

Bottom line I guess this is gonna make it a bit harder for the EPL clubs but i doubt it s enough to change the momentum in our favour.

Thats counterintuitive.

If a lot of them wont get permission to be in the EPL, then it decreases demand for them, probably thus driving DOWN their prices a bit. Maybe for the very top players, prices will go up, but for the ones below that, probably see a big decrease

Not really you decrease the amount of foreign players in the epl not the demand IMHO. So you have less supply and i guess the demand for quality players should be the same so imho Prices should go up. Let me put it like this if now there are 60 non eu comming in the UK every year if next year only 30 are allowed shouldent the prices of these 30 be higher on average then if you would have left 60 in?
I just feel that if a player gets the permission to go to the EPL competition for him will be way fiercer then it is now.

Anyways as you said before this is all speculation as of now and i guess well have to wait and see.

Yes, but my point is the price of the 30 who would otherwise have been going in, will now be devalued

Agreed i was only talking from an EPL point of view. Ofcourse for us these players should become cheaper since EPL competition falls away.

On Football Italia I have read a report from 2 days ago that BigDong's son could be Inter's new president, and he is 25 years old :yao:

I'm 25 and the only thing I'm in charge of is my dog,but I doubt that at times, like he is in charge of me at times... :eek:kay:

someone made a very good point - Bosman will not necessarily apply in England after 2 years anymore.

Thohir said that Suning plans on bringing two big players, one italian and one international. He also said we are negotiating with Berardi and Candreva, and also confirmed that we have sent an offer for Gabriel Jesus. It is now on the player and his agent do decide whether to accept our offer or not.

If I read the article correctly, the take over injected €148m into Inter's coffers, meaning (if I'm correct), Inter doesn't need to worry about FFP at this time.

It looks like Moratti could ""remain"" as an advisor.
Or spiritual presence, whatever.

"Moratti, who is your dream player right now?"

"I'd buy Payet tomorrow morning
[laughs]"

He's improving. As far as in-form players go, Payet is better than Marco Ferrante.

That's true. Ferrante was "Serie A-proven" and quiet in the dressing room, though.
