I don't think its a hard call, Icardi should start.

Mancini wasn't playing mind games, he is telling the truth that Icardi was dropped against Roma only for tactical reasons. We saw how having no reference points in attack created a very mobile counter attacking team against Roma. I doubt we want to play such a defensive counter attack against Torino, who would be happy with a draw against Inter. So it wouldn't work.

I expect us to try our norm - a possession play with a higher defence with at least 2-3 reference points in attack. I hope to see this:

For the first time this season, we have everyone available. Its time to take the game to Torino.

Came here to post exactly this. We attacked well against Roma on the break but were often starved of an outlet ahead of the play, and a long range shot was our most likely route to goal. We ll need more options in Turin against a team that will not afford us much space to run into, or to shoot. Icardi will be needed as much for the space his runs can create as for his goal threat.

And so far Roma had beaten a lower end clubs like Palermo, Empoli, Carpi, Frosinone, Udinese.. the only good achievement so far is probably beating Fiorentina.

Scudetto is far-fetched. Not impossible, but don't really think about it. As long as we are in the top 3 zone, we should just be happy.

We will probably share points with Torino in this one, although a win would have been extremely satisfying. They haven't lost a game in home this season so far, which goes to show they are such a solid team, meanwhile we haven't been good enough offensively this season, but at least our defence is doing very well.

Melo comming back is great news.

I honestly don't get wtf is so special about beating Roma. This team was getting creamed 3-0 in the first half by some Belarussian team, and conceded 4 goals vs. Leverkusen. We also beat them last time around.

The fact that I consider us having a worse squad than Roma but we tactically won them where Mancini usually fails anyway.

I dont think it is fair to say that the Roma win was typical Inter 1:0 win.

We just need to work more on our counters. We had 2 almost perfect situations to score, one was Ljajic i think, when we were 4 vs. 3 and he wanted to pass the ball to his right but the ball got intercepted, and the other was Perisic's run with a lousy attempt to pass to Palacio.


There were also some passing between Ljajic and Jojo in the first half near Roma's box, i simply couldnt believe that Inter players can play so fast and with such finesse.

Perisic could replace Guarin in the middle against Torino, so Icardi starts. Or just to avoid awkwardness before the match (handshaking and shit with maxi "butthurt" lopez) start Icardi from the bench again.

It would have been awesome if Maxi was their captain and they had to stay in front of eeachother while the ref asks them about the coin toss
