I haven't read back in the thread so I don't know what was said for the goals but they are BOTH on Stankovic and Castelacci.

Stankovic runs off to attack in the first goal leaving the right side empty even though we didn't have the ball. In the second one he screws up on the rebound AGAIN and concedes the foul.

Castelacci does a poor job in the first goal and sets up the wall completely wrong in the second.

The wall waas well placed, but did you see how the udine player grabbed PandeV? He couldn't even jump because of it

I'm not saying we don't need upgrades up front but if there is one line that is at least "good enough" is up front. I know we don't have quality back ups but at least we have some good players even with milito off form.

In midfield we keep playing with a bunch of semi retired defensive midfielders year after year and in defense we have no left back.

A real left back and a real two way midfielder are IMO a priority. Striker comes after that. If they can get all three quality players I'm all for that lol

another thing is how can you guys blame the midfield for pushing forward....there is only eto'o who is always marked like hell and palmdev who is useless...they're torn between attacking and defending....also there is no real play maker or a striker ....if we want to score we have to take the risk and midfield needs to attack....can't wait until wes comes back once we have him back I'm sure our midfield will become stronger defensively and we NEED a striker. ffs...

We have great defending players, both defenders and midfielders. Few teams in the world can rival us. It's our current way of positioning our players that makes us so vulnerable. When there is such a big gap between defensive line and midfield, we our bound to be in trouble. No new defenders would solve this problem.

Tbh its Cordoba who is the main defensive problem. He is too insecure and panics easily and this has an impact on the rest of the team, he is not solid in any way like Samuel is. We better pray ranocchia will be the answer.

As for Pandev, well its just mindblowing that we dont have better options than this useless sack of crap.

We concede because of the way we play.

We don't play "rigid" like with Jose, or like some people think we do (just because Leo is winning, like in Jose days). We play a lot more freely, with many midfielders roaming forward. If Leo set our team like with Jose, we still would concede few, but then we would have same problem as with Jose - hard time breaking teams, and creating chances when the other team is deffending.

With Julio Cesar in goal this season, we conceeded less than goal per two games I think... with Luca... He struggles to command the defensive line I believe, seen so many times this season how he fails to communicate with the likes of Lucio etc.

So cuz we only have one effective CF we should push all midfielders to support him or score?! The midfield job is to shield the defense line as well. With Mou their job was 1st to defend well and close down spaces. The way it's going is just like having a circus in the middle!

Stankovic offensivly is much better. He's a joke compared to Cambi's defensive intelligence.
