No country is aloud to have more than 4 teams, therefore only of Italy still had 4 spots available for UCL would the 4th team be affected if someone won the EL. Since Italy has 3 teams going to UCL it would just add on a 4th if someone won EL.

It's definitely an extra incentive to win the EL.

And to be honest, Italian teams that do end up qualifying for EL always have more than enough quality to win it. This will hopefully bring Italian football back to the top since the other top teams in the EL have 4 CL spots in their respective leagues and will much rather qualify that way.

One of the better groups in years IMO. All clubs are quality, even Marseille who just got the short end of the stick being in with the other three. A weak defense and mediocre midfield will probably cost Napoli a spot in the last 16 though unless they get some help from Marseille and put in a great performance against Arsenal.
