0 shots on goal?

I remember having 0 shots on target but 0 attempted?

I didn't see the game, but other sites say they had two shots at goal. Not sure how many times they created chances that didn't result in a shot though.

We even had an attempted Chivu shot in Nou Camp or Camp Nou.

Yeah there are few sites that says Chelsea had 2 shots. Whoscored.com says they had 2 shots. Still it's amazing that they had 0 on target considering the gulf in quality of players and Jose as their manager.

napoli honestly should have beaten dortmund at home a while back by a huge margin, i reckon 5 - 1 easy, they were just far too complacent upfront and thats going to cost them a spot in the next stage of the champions league unfortunately. I can see them just about edging arsenal i honestly cant see marseile getting even a point at home vs dortmund, such is the gulf in quality between the two teams. Besides dortmund were missing schemlzer, subtotic and hummels for this game, but they still pounded napoli. Yes napoli were missing hamsik, insinge dint start and zuinga was injured but i feel dortmund had to do without literally 3 of their 4 starting defensive players.

Even Casillas at his best has made similar mistakes... GKs are not to be judged about mistakes, but how often they make and the saves they make.

Casillas was always mistake prone ;)

Not judging the keeper though as he is a very good talent, just that even for a lesser mistake media made hell lot of noise for De Gea basically praying for him to fail so that they can keep on throwing shit at him.

My god, Bayern are so lucky this game. CSKA is playing VERY well, had tons of chances, and yet, couldn't score. Bayern on the other hand had 4 chances, scored 3 goals.

Wernbloom/Elm playing? If so: are they playing well?

This Bayern is very scary. If their best players were in mid 20s, instead of 29/30, they could have the chance to even become the best team in history. But in a year or two, they'll peak and fall eventually. They'll get back because they got youth as well, but no transition is smooth.

What scares me is that they were essentially in the same position as Rube. They dominate possession, and created a lot of chances, but failed to capitalize. Then Heynckes did something to them, and they were reborn. I don't know if Cunte has the same experience to give them that rebirth.

Wernbloom played from the start. He had few good long passes to the wings and was good in defense, made some great tackles. It's hard to play against Bayerns midfield, and he did pretty well.

Elm entered around 75th minute and din't have much impact to the game. Was involved, but made simple mistakes, misplaced passes and all.

They have excellent young team. Kroos, Gotze, Muller, Martinez, Neuer, Alaba, Thiago, Lewandowski will sign next year, Shaqiri and also other players they keep on signing.

yes but its not simply the individual quality of the players. shweini, lahm, muller have been playing together since god knows when. robben and ribbery have been there for quite a while as well. It's the chemistry developed between the players. They will need a lot of time to reform bonds this strong.

Anyhoo. Rube severely lack attacking width. They try to always score through the middle. By the time wingbacks get forward, defences are already organized and packed.

This is why they find it hard to score in the first period. Defences have more energy, and are more organized. Only in the second half, can they find space through the middle. Or with some ref help.
