The Juve game has officially been called off. So how does this work? Play a short game in a few weeks?

Well SkySports commentators said most likely it could be played tomorrow

It's a shame that weather had to ruin the amazing atmosphere in the Istanbul. It was a great game for the mins played and Galata played very well, pretty sure they would win the game because of the home-game advantage and the public was amazing. Let's see what happens...

Man City

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/11/manchester-city-bayern-munich-pellegrini-rules

They were leading 3-2 in Germany with 20 minutes left when Manuel Pellegrini took off David Silva, an incisive influence on the night, in the belief that his team still required two goals rather than one to win the head-to-head with Bayern and top the group, thereby earning what is generally a more favourable draw in the knockout stage.

...

James Milner, who got the winner and set up City's other two, confirmed that they were unaware of the regulations. "We knew roughly," he said. "We didn't know if 4-2 would be enough or if we would need 5-2. We thought it needed to be 5-2, to be honest."

Manuel Pellegrini tho :notbad:

He would've been the perfect coach for Inter tbh.

he is a good coach, he even did a good job at Real considering he had no support from the management

the Alcorcon debacle was kinda bad and it's never a good thing to lose against Lyon in the last 16

but he got 96 points that year and (still) was second

Pellegrini later reflected on his frustration at not being able to build a team at Real Madrid due to the club’s controversial Galácticos policy: "I didn't have a voice or a vote at Madrid. They sign the best players, but not the best players needed in a certain position. It’s no good having an orchestra with the 10 best guitarists if I don’t have a pianist. Real Madrid have the best guitarists, but if I ask them to play the piano they won’t be able to do it so well. He [Pérez] sold players that I considered important. We didn't win the Champions League because we didn't have a squad properly structured to be able to win it."

Indeed, he typically manages to get a lot out of his available players, to make them perform on both a domestic AND continental level, hence why City's management opted to sack Mancini in favour of the Chilean

The emphasis on high pressing and dynamic attacking football is particularly attractive

Although I would probably like him more if he hadn't eliminated us from the CL quarter finals in 2006 :(
