thats not my logic. thats an exaggeration of my logic. i know this is the purpose of the champions league, but the format crosses a line because its not fairly designed for the most deserving teams to progress through. it shouldnt be about who UEFA wants to go through, but who deserves to go through. and not what you misinterpreted my point as, which is who should be a part of the competition, b/c at the end of the day the playoff rounds are a part of the cl and the groups are just another stage. i mean, imagine if uefa intentionally put real, barca, juve, and bayern in one group and everyone else in others. it owuld be complete bull.


also leagues may rise and fall, but there is too big a sportng and financial gap between the top 5,6 leagues and the rest. let alone the financial gap that exists within those outsider leagues which is why we see always see the same names like BATE, APOEL, olympiacos, fenerbahce, galatasaray, basel, red bull, sparta, partizan, maribor etc. there isnt enough money and as i said its a vicious cycle thats destroying that football.
