Everything works until it doesn’t. So Bundesliga is better than La Liga and Serie A now? It’s knock out stage, if you are not above 1 or 2 levels it swings both ways. Just because we’re out of CL doesn’t mean you need to dismiss the team and the league like that.

We beat Italian teams because in Italy experience and tactics is still a key ingredient. You don’t see us beating any other European teams in any similar manner, in fact we have huge issues just winning more than with one goal over any half decent team.

What you see the effects of is Inzaghi doing miracles with a mediocre roaster and Marotta doing miracles with none existent budget, but it only brings you that far. In Europe team just have qualities that hurt us in way we aren’t seeing much in the league.

Next season we will be back at 2-5 place team, unless we see some drastic improvement of our roaster. Don’t be surprised if we do a Napoli although I don’t anticipate it will be to a similar degree, I would not be shocked seeing us dropping to 4-5 place, unless we start sorting our aging team and bring in some much needed younger blood.
