Not their fault really. They're becoming accustomed to the way things roll.
The problem is that their leagues are suffering for this. I used to stay up to watch Libertadores, games in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, even Mexico... I don't feel the urge now, maybe I'll catch a Superclasico or some Brazilian derby, but there's no appeal. It feels like a feeder league.
The problem is that the Dutch league also has the same feeling, the Portuguese, the Greek, the French and German even if you remove a team from the equation. Heck, the Champions League feels this way until April every season.
Football is dying. One could say changing. But it's dying. Whatever will evolve from this won't be football.
