I'm freaking shocked. Today was a pretty average and boring day for me and I was stuck in school until like 4:30 since I couldn't get home and worst off there was no internet connection so I couldn't check the game. But I just arrived home, opened the Internet straight to Inter.it/en and when I read the score I was like...

HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

I knew that we would thrash Valencia, I said so myself last night but I didn't really believe that it would happen. I'm so overjoyed!!! FORZA INTER!!! FORZA RAGAZZI!!!!!!

I can't wait to see the highlights and then download the game. It should be pure nirvana.

Out of the really hard 5 game streak we have convincingly won 2, next on Milan. If we can thrash them as well I swear I will cry :proud: :D

Well, i didn't watch the match, but followed it all the way with Handoyo via Livescore. All i can say is, we were both truly shocked by the scoreline. Never in our dreams were we to believe that we could travel to Mestella and get out of it with a 5-1 win. This is truly one of the best moments of any Interista's life.

All i really want to say is..

GRAZIE INTER!!!!! :star: :star:

The Champions League program showed all the gols - it was nice to see so many of our major players getting gols today, especially Vieri. Thanks to all the players for a wonderful night of gols, fantasy and perfection! We needed this win to set up what must be one of the most anticipated derbies in years.

Forza Inter! :star:

Ciao,
Tim

I'm dying to watch the goals.

At first I didn't like the line-up, but that prove to me that nobody knows who should be in better than the coach, he knows who is more motivated, etc, like Favalli or Emre today.

Miki and Handoyo mates , next time you can't watch a match just let me know  and I'll arrange a link :) .

I was very disappointed by Mancini's choice to leave Toldo on the bench again , even if Fontana did a good job .
I can understand his decision do leave capitano and Davids on the bench because we performed a very tight man marking which Davids who runs too often on the left flank and capitano who does the same on the right flank can't do.

I really liked Stankovic , and Adriano ...we love you dawg :D , he brings so much joy with his great ball control .

I come home to this! Never in my wildest dreams would i imagine that we'd be able to beat, wait.. no, trash Valencia 5-1 at the Mestella. This proves that our team has enough heart and guts, and perhaps we've finally gotten a group of players that have what it takes to win.

Not sure how to react to this victory and hype our team up, but all i can do is pray for a repeat performance vs Milan this Sunday afternoon.

ALEEEEE FORZA INTER ALEEEEE!!

I have been out all night with a smile like never before...This was historic, thankgod i witnessed it.

Our players were phenominal in controlling the game both defensively and offensively...I just hope the major players arent that tired or emotions dont overtake them cause we have a major game ahead of us.

This is the best time to go into the derby. Milan struggled to beat Barca, who, in my eyes, deserved at least a point. But hey, if we play like this in the derby, :dielaugh: :dielaugh: :dielaugh: :dielaugh: imagine what Adriano will do to that ageing defence! But Valencia was humiliated last night. 5-1 in front of their own fans, and reigning champions, AMAZING STUFF. I'm particularly very impressed by Fontana yesterday. He was absolutely instrumental. Well, bring on Milan, we'll show you how to play football. :)

Yeah Fontana was brilliant but so was Cordoba(back to his best) and Cambiasso plus Favalli looked solid after being shaky lately..

Even VDM and Cruz looked better than their previous outings movement wise without scoring,...

It was nice to see JZ go on that run and unselfishly give to the unselfish Adriano to score...more please in the derby :star:

The result is a bit flattering though. We didn´t do a very good first half at all, and Valencia was very dangerous in the second half. Especially Di Vaio´s movements in the second half was causing problems.

Stankovic was having severe problems with receiving the ball properly, but this guy is such a match-winner.

Not even Zac would be able to screw up this advantage in the CL. :D

Well none of the teams did to well i the first half....But it was mostly because of the importence of the game.....And every player fighted all they had learned. So that was posative. The second half was simply amasing even thaugh we maked some stupid mistakes. But they wher nothing compered to the mistakes that the Valencia backline did. In the start of second half. So the goals we got where very cheep and we shal be glad that Fontana played his best game for a very long time. And so with Cordoba.

Well we did play a good second half....And Adriano was simply amasing. I can't remember the last time inter scored so many goals....in one half...

Now there should be a good chance for us in this tounement, and we are almoste setain that we are through the group stage. If we win over Valencia in the next game.

But I don't understand why J.Zanetti came in, Cordoba did an excelent job as RB. And after Zanetti's performence last evning he should not start against Milan.

I have to agree with Jimmy. We were a bit lucky and the final score is flattering for us. Valencia was strong and put us in difficulties in the first half. Still we have to remember that at Mestalla Valencia can put any team in difficulties. Somehow they failed to create proper chances in the first half and we were quite lucky after the restart to get two quick goals. Without scoring those goals the game could've been totally different.

What the phuck?? :frustrat:

Zanetti's performance was outstanding. Only once he let Angulo pass him, but comparing to Cordoba's performance as RB Javier was much better. We really didn't have proper wingers last night, so it was our backs who were supposed to run forward. Cordoba couldn't attack, he was clearly in difficulties with Angulo and was lucky not to get warnings, because he was really brutal at times. Javier managed to shut his flank well and made excellent runs forward. Cordoba rules in the centre, so there's no sense putting Cafe to right flank.
