Game prices were off putting, that's one of the reasons my cousins didn't want this, kid's already got an Xbox or something. And for me, I'll probably just get 5-6 games and that'd be it. Maybe not worth it for a console. But it's one that I can use on airplanes, airports etc. Big plus for me.
Yeah, well, if you travel a lot, Switch + Zelda:Botw is such a beautiful time sink. Last time I had to wait for my girl at the hospital and two hours never felt more like 20 minutes

Please do post an update, I'm very interested. Most people say Yakuza 0 is in the top3 of the whole series.
Will do, but it could take a while. I'll take some time off from gaming and when I come back I'm going to play It Takes Two with a buddy of mine first.

A different buddy of mine texted me out of the blue today and he was laughing at the graphics of the new Pokemon game. I checked out a gameplay preview and damn... most mobile games these days look better than that. Graphics to me don't really matter and neither do I own a Switch, but I'd feel pretty bamboozled if I was a loyal Pokemon fan.

I'm currently playing Fallout 4 and I'm enjoying myself, but sadly it seems like a good shooter but bad roleplaying game. So far only had like 2 big choices to make, everything else is streamlined into the same game. Kinda makes you think why even have dialogue choices if they don't change a lot.

Still, now that the game is a lot more stable and there is also a lot of new quests, the game is better than if I played it whole when it came out. That's kinda a Bethesda staple for me, but at least I can say Fallout 4 is a lot more enjoyable (to me) than Fallout 3.

I was never able to get into Fallout 4 unfortunately. My first walkthrough ended just a few hours into the game when I had to invade a large Raider base and got served an instant death respawn spot :/ That was game over for me. I gave it a second chance a couple years later but I was bored with it real quick and to be perfectly honest I kinda sucked at the game. I really wanted to like it, especially since I beat Fallout 3 including all DLCs and every major side quest, but Fallout 4 was just not for me I guess

I guess I didn't like the dread feeling of Fallout 3, since I liked the Stalker games a lot more

Fallout 4 is just the right mix of humour and Bethesda world building to not be too boring. I bought the Yakuza games, so I do admit I'm kinda anxious and wanna finish Fallout 4 as soon as possible, but I'm not just playing the main story :D

Some big games coming next month. I'm torn between what to get between dying light, horizon and elden ring. I won't have time for all 3 at once basically. I'm thinking I'll do horizon first then the other two over the following months

I'm still trying to not spend that much money, but Elden Ring is calling to me. A Miyazaki open world game is stuff dreams

In other news... As of now, STEAM DECK DOESN'T SUPPORT PERSONA 4. See? The problems already started, how you gonna promise the whole steam catalogue on Steam Deck and not have one of the favs working?

There is already a contract with Sony so I assume that's why they'll just keep it running till it's void.

And yes, there will absolutely be people switching for CoD, it is, after all, the best selling game in the US for 13(!) consecutive years.

UFC 4 free with PlayStation network this month.
That's incredible. I've been waiting to find it for like a 10r before getting it. Loved ufc 3 but wasn't a big enough jump between them.

People is US usually have an Xbox anyway, while Europeans play COD on PC. It won't be a problem.

Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep - the Borderlands spin-off game - that's more like a demo before Tiny Tina's Wonderlands comes out. I'll play it, sure, but I'm still kinda disappointed with this months PS+. The rumoured Nioh 2, Dark Souls 3 or Guilty Gear games hyped me up, but somehow Gearbox managed to squeeze that one in. Eyuckh.

Probably won't play Planet Coaster, but the ratings are high? Anybody played it before?

The game is amazing, I've 95 hours on it mainly beating my pal up from Newcastle online, career mode is how I learnt to play the game and be good at it, I loved it and still do but haven't played in months. Might dust it off and text me pal.

I managed to finish GoW on pc (actually i have to beat rest of Valkyries first and that arena thingy) but what a game it is, story, gameplay, grafics, music everything is perfect. For me probably best game in the last decade, enjoyed every minute of it, and shed a tear in the end. I miss these linear SP games, and i'm fed up with all these sandbox games, they are boring.

It's a very Zelda type of game, I loved it too. The reveal at the end made me scream from joy because I really didn't see it even tho it's soooo obvious when you play it the second time  Good stuff. I am debating with myself which game to buy, Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War 2 ffs!!! Too many great games.

@Gane so listen, this is what I recommend. If you have an emulator, try to find Zelda:Breath of the Wild and play it on your PC. I played Zelda:Botw->God of War->Bloodborne, so I recommend both games to you as well, Bloodborne will probably come to PC when the Bluepoint's Remake comes out and if you loved God of War, imagine a game with less story, but more battle mechanics that tests you like the Valkyries.

I played Botw on my brothers Switch when i had covid and the thing that annoys me is that weapons durability thingy, besides that i liked it, didnt manage to beat it tho. Bloodborne seems to me to close to Souls game and i found out that if you want to beat it you need to put time in it, you cant rly jump in and out of game, come every few weeks and beat it, atleast it's like that for me :D. Few weeks ago i actually bought Dark Souls remastered and refunded it a day or two after that, bought SW Jedi Fallen Order instead and loved it, it's similar but not that hard. Only soul like game i really liked is Sekiro, but i got stuck on some boss near the end of the game couldnt beat it and then stopped playing it, i feel like i get frustrated very easy and then it's game over for me xD. While we are at it I heard that From Software is developing new Armored Core game and thats what i'm rly looking for, loved AC1 on ps1.

Zelda becomes amazing when you get to the four bosses, I recommend playing at least til then.

Bloodborne has no block and you get your lost health back by attacking straight away. So it's all about attacking which I love. Also you can add somebody to join you, so it's absolutely easier than Sekiro.

I think the ratio between open world games and games with a „linear“ mission design feels a little off these days. It’s not like I don’t enjoy playing open world games, in fact a lot of my favorites in the last decade have an open world, but imo it can feel a little tedious to jump from open world to open world. If the open world provides a lot of good side content I’m obviously inclined to play that side content. And if we also factor in traveling to quest markers, talking to those NPCs who give you a description of what they want you to do, loading screens etc, it can be very time consuming. Time consuming to the point we’re I'm telling myself that I could have probably completed maybe 2 or 3 other games with a linear mission design within that timeframe. Of course there are still some good single player games with linear missions these days, but in quantity there’s a lot less, or at least it seems that way to me.

Only thing that is better about BOTW than God of War or Ghost of Tsumiha is that its way way way easier. You can also just go anywhere and play for 5-15 minutes and have fun. You do that in GOW or GOT you will die a brutal death. Anything can kill you in these two games. In BOTW I usually killed myself by not running from my bomb or running into a Guardian/Lynel early on

Not saying BOTW isn't good but the love it gets is insane. Has 0 story, graphics are Wii graphics. It a little kid version of GTA set in medieval times. Do you want to do the story? No, ok cool just fk around. I love Fallout 4 and people crap on it for the same reasons they love BOTW.

Also the ganon fight in BOTW sucks. He literally just stands there and doesn't do anything in his final form where you use super clunky controls to shoot arrows while on horse

BOTW just reinvented the open world genre, but okay, crzd, keep trucking on. I'm not saying it's my favourite game, at the beginning I was really anxious because the world is huuuge and the game doesn't coddle your balls. You say it's too easy, I say it can get pretty hard if you go in wrong direction. Which is totally possible with that huge of a world. You can't say there is no story in BOTW, it's just not as story heavy as RDR2 or Last of Us. If you go through the world finding all the memories, you can see a pretty solid story.

@phonk people say Guardians of the Galaxy was pretty good linear game, I recommend that.
