First time in years I feel confident about a coach. He is doing EVERYTHING right, so he has no chance of failure. And if he really succeeds, he proves that the main problem all these years was the manager after all. But if he fails like the previous ones, we will have absolute evidence of the problems lying deeper in the club. Like the shit that was going around about the Argie clan and players trying to push Strama out in some ways, it would probably be true after all. Mazzarri will bring clearance, either way.

This is not complacency. It's confidence verging on arrogance. The last coach we had like that did OK.

No it is complacency, but that's what the we want/need. We need a coach who is going to take charge, and have a firm grasp of the team. And complacent coaches have a higher tendency to do this, at least more likely than another unproven coach with not up to par achievements.


So is he complacent? You damn right he is. Is that bad? Fuck no, especially not with how our team has been lately.

Good point Aliano. Mazzarri may very well be complacent based on his achievements, but that's quite acceptable for the clubs he was in charge of previously. His goals now however are gonna be higher, and expectedly so.
