What a sad story, could have been literally the BEST striker in the world. Till this day, I still cant find a more complete striker than him. He had one last chance in 2009 to be restarted by Mourinho but he fucked it up. I’m happy that we went on to win the treble one year later but at least I wanted him to succeed elsewhere. He was the reason I became Interista. Hopefully he at least is having a good life now, which I doubt, seeing from his Intagram posts.

He did succeed in Brazilian league, winning it with Flamengo in 2009 and Corinthians in 2011. And he is living a good and happy life.

Did they ever have high potential in the first place? Or they were just overhyped by fans and media? I was too young to remember the hype around 90's kids but i remember the next two decades well and there was ridiculous hype over some of our kids.

Santon the new Facchetti. Destro the new Vieri. Bessa the new Sneijder. Crisetig the Italian Xavi. Bardi the next great Inter GK. There was also too much hype around guys like Krhin, Maa Boumsong, Filkor, Donati, Caldirola, Biraghi, Bianchetti, Duncan, Benassi, Longo, Bonazzoli, Mbaye, Doncor. Most of them barely made it to top tier level.

Oh man those names.. I used to think Krhin would be a top player, primarily because I thought his name looked cool.

Slavkovski is probably the one I had the highest expectation to, solely because of his comparison to Ibrahimovic.

Since I started watching football, Inter youth products were vastly hyped, but the quality is terrible. The most talented is a dickhead, Balotelli. Then Pandev...or Biraghi. That's it. Am I missing someone?

It is a pain when we compare Inter youth quality and the others. Not even comparable to Milan, with Cristante, Donna, Locatelli, Pessina. Let alone Barca. How the hell can they generate world-class talents on a constant basis? Like Fati or Pedri atm. The ones at the same age as Esposito but already in Euro best XI. While Esposito...he isn't ready to make basic touches yet

Fortunately, their directors were/ are terrible to balance things out. If Barca has someone like Marotta in charge, they are really unstoppable.

Goddamn talking about hype, really thought Crisetig and Binazzoli were at least going to be a solid player. Let's not forget our Henry, Biabiany and I dont think Esposito will be good either but it's too early to tell

Is Bonucci considered good? For me he is the Italian version of Pique who also got carried by Puyol hence the hype early on.
