hopefully the team cares more about this game than the fans do, it seems we are getting used to finishing second in our CL group

What the hell is this??!!!!! Inter is not the host. You have to write the title like 'Werder Bremen - Inter'.

Why should they care about this game?

It would be mindblowingly stupid to field anything but primavera and substutes for this game. Tottenham will without a doubt finish first anyways.

Its a great chance to rest our first team ahead of the crucial last matches of the season and the CWC.

That would be so crucial. We gotta avoid certain teams in the next round... But actually if you wanna win the damn thing you shouldn't play hide & seek. You gotta face them all & beat the fuck outta them... like we wonderfully demonstrated how it is supposed to be done months ago :proud: :D Forza Inter

I think we have a very good chance actually.

It's not like Barcelona playing Bari. Twente did very well in the group stage, and they will be the host. Werder is much weaker opponent at this point, so we're already at advantage. Tottenham also is new to this, and their players might not feel as determined for this game.

Obviously Tottenham have better odds at this point for finishing on top, they are first after all, but I actually think it's 55-45 in their favour, so not such a big difference.

Why wouldnt Tottenhams players be determined to win this? They have every chance of finishing top of the group above the current cl champs, that alone gives the players plenty of determination.

Both Twenty and Werder have the EL to play for.

It would be stupid to risk players because there is a slight chance of getting first place when we have must-win serie a games and the CWC comming up which is far more important.

Its an excellent chance to rest players and we need to take advantage of it.

I think Werder is done. They don't have the chance to even take the 3rd spot.

Ah yea your right, i thought they had less points.

Well then neither side has anything to play for.

But that just makes it even less likely that twente will take anything from Tottenham.

I'm not saying they wouldn't. And maybe the determination is the wrong way to approach this.

When I've said they are new at this, I meant they don't have expierience of playing at CL, and that can be significant at times (Fiora playing Lyon can say something about this). That's all. I'm not making this as a FACT, just a possibility.

It's a question then between "playing it safe, and getting 1/2", or risking at gettin 2/2. Besides, like I've said imo the odds ain't that bad.

Still, Bremen sucks more than Twente.

.

It can, but why it be in this particular situation? Twente has NOTHING to play for, they go into the EL no matter the result. Tottenham has everything to play for, a win secures first place in the group, the outcome of the game is a no-brainer really.

There is no reason to risk any important players in this game. It not much more important than a friendly game tbh.

True that Twente doesn't have much to play for, if you look at it like that. But still, it's not like the Twente players can play CL every season. Plus, they play with the top of the group club. Plus, they play at home. Plus, for a smaller club like Twente getting prize money for a win or a draw is also not a small thing.

We came in the end to the matter of opinion. I understand your position, and respect it, but I still stand by mine. I think there is good chance we can come up on top of the group, and I believe we should go for it.

Another 4-0 win for us

They had a mini survival just this weekend. Altought I doubt they can get anything against the Volkswagen guys. Dzeko will rip them apart (goal and confidence) So you can never understand Werder really. They are one of the most unstable club in Europe atm. Our defensive play is not a Mou like also. Anything can happen .
