Nope. Italy has always worn blue as it was the official colour of the House of Savoy - Italy's royal family.

Exactly. The Curva had a coreo a couple of years back about this, with a big banner displaying Milano at night:

It would be cool if our centenary jersey had something to this effect. I want to see some sort of artwork, maybe a serpent or like the banner above.
