Playing for Inter is like playing uphill lately. Sometimes you just can't know how good a player is. I guess my point is failing at current Inter is not really a definitive judgement.

Not very many people who have failed for us have gone on to be good anywhere else really. Coutinho is the obvious exception.

Pirlo? Seedorf?

Not saying he is on their level but people here like to dismiss players a bit too quick. People were already calling the Perisic transfer a failure after half a season and some even wanted to sell Brozovic even though he had a good season. Or shitting on 18 year olds because they can't score hat tricks like Ronaldo and Messi.

Yeah, not many. A silver lining or what I liked about Coutinho's post-Inter success is that it proved we did manage to find a gem, only failed to use it. It's not much, but I always felt good about that little thing. In many other cases it showed we failed both in recruitment and in getting more out of average players.

Clearly your untrained eyes missed the dominant spells of Poli and Santon post-Inter. Santon was actually so good at Newcastle we had to buy him again to right the wrong we made in selling him.

FWIW, Browha is right in that every player we have sold post treble has been just as useless for the team we sold them to as they were for us. Even Eto'o struggled when he was sold to Russia if I remember correctly. Sneijder and Coutinho are probably the only exceptions.

Duncan? Benassi? Bonucci? There aren't that many because we tend to buy mostly old or unproven players. Expect the likes of Bonazzoli, Puscas, Kovacic to be added to that list in the future. Gnoukouri too probably if we sell him.

Bonucci is an ancient one to be honest. Bonazzoli has so far disappointed since leaving Inter, Duncan and Benassi are starting to look good but they still have a lot of room to fail, to be honest. They could just as easily go the way of Donati/Caldirola.

I dont know if he was destined to fail from the start, but I feel at Inter he gave up all hope of becoming a top player.

He's just after scoring the goal of the tournament. Brilliant second half against Poland now. Funny what can happen when your given the freedom to play.
