We will see means anything can happen. Squad size depends on who we sign and who leaves (could be him could not be), someone must go does not mean Shaqiri must go. TBH if he leaves then someone capable will be coming, if he stays i'm sure he will be motivated to prove the coach wrong. I see it as a win win rather then a lose lose!

This Shaqiri saga is a sad reflection on Inter's mismanagement. There are a lot of hypothesis on what has gone wrong for Shaqiri at Inter, all are pure speculation. My take is this:

1. I think Shaqiri was bought on Mancini's request/approval. Some say that Shaqiri is surplus because Mancini never wanted him, but I find that hard to believe.

2. I think Mancini planned to sacrifice Kovacic to raise funds and keep Shaqiri. At least that was the original plan. Why that planned changed, I guess it could be due to any of the following factors or a combination of them:
- Kova's good form near the end of the season
- Inter not receiving any offers close to Kova's valuation
- Fan reaction at the rumours of selling Kovacic
- Shaqiri not performing to the level Mancini expected at training/games

3. Mancini is desperate for wingers. Thohir wants us to sell before we buy. Selling Shaqiri is the compromise.

That is my read of the situation - I could be wrong, this is speculation. Either ways, I feel for Shaqiri. He is suffering because of Inter's incompetence in planning ahead. We cannot blame him for rejecting offers that may suit Inter. He is perfectly right to wait for an offer that he likes, even if Inter make less money from that. We owe him at least that much.

Actually inter isnt the only club that is having problems selling. Look at roma and the problems they have faced selling players. Look mancini doesn't necessarily want to sell shaq. But someone has to be sold to cover the deficit. Shaq is getting offers. Not guarin dodo juaj jesus etc. other clubs can smell how desperate we are to see and they are playing a waiting game. Same game we play when it comes to players like motta etc
