That was a huge header in the 95th minute as he was essentially guarding two players, Nzola and someone else.

Glad to see that he's still getting minutes. He's not expected to start many more games this season but good to see him being trusted at the end of games.

This guy could be what KDB and Salah was to Chelsea if we are not careful.

Inzaghi is limiting this guy by only seeing him as a RCB. He should be tried as LCB and central CB in training and get playing time to get familiar with the roles. He's a CB afterall, not just a RCB. I rather use him as LCB than Acerbi. Inzaghi should not get his talent gets wasted on the bench.

Or alternatively, try Pavard as CB and Bisseck on the right side.

Pavard should be intelligent enough to also claim that spot

He actually played LCB before joining us, he also played the mid CB one game coming off as a sub, but not mature enough to play the mid CB yet; he lost focus and needed to be reminded by Acerbi in that game too; the only time that might be okay playing him as a central CB might be last 5 mins and we are being bombed by crosses.

The central CB in a back 3 and the GK need to have the best reading of the game on the pitch. No reason to try Bisseck there yet while he’s still taking in a lot of new things, unless it’s a meaningless match. Plus his dribbling ability on the touchline is great. When he uses his body properly it’s very hard to stop him.

atm, I see Bisseck more of LCB or RCB than CB, I'm not so sure how good he is at man marking in the middle

maybe not as good of a passer than the other options, but he is strong, fast and can dribble, so that helps

He is very good for now, but I won't trust him to be the protagonist in the defense. He doesn't seem mature enough.

Two months later fans decry “why don’t we give youth a chance and we keep signing the likes of Arna!?”

That aside can we have him as RWB alongside Tajon please when Dumfries leaves? His ball playing ability is better than Darmian. Weak position awareness yes, but he has enough fun stamina to run around to recover lost grounds

The person in the middle requires.to lead the defense. So, it's normal to be someone more experienced. Bisseck should be tried as a LCB as well imo.
Maybe Pavard is good for this position. He has a lot.of experience and is very solid player. I don't mind one between Acerbi and SDV to stay as a back up for the next season, but we need someone younger to get the starter spot.

Bisseck is right-footed right? I don't think Inzaghi wants to use right-footed CB in LCB position (unless he absolutely has to). Even if the guy has played on the left before, it doesn't mean much. In other teams, SPECIALLY in 4-man defence setup, the preferred foot is not as important as in 3-man defence setup, specially in ours.

I would like this much better:

CB: Acerbi, SDV, Pavard
LCB: Bastoni, Darmian, Bissek, Carlos
RCB: Pavard, Bissek, Darmian
LW: Dimarco, Carlos
RW: Dumfries, Darmian, Buchanan

Or fuck Dumfries and sell him now for 30m.... and trust Bissek.

CB: Acerbi, SDV, Pavard
LCB: Bastoni, Bissek, Carlos
RCB: Pavard, Bissek
LW: Dimarco, Carlos
RW: Darmian, Buchanan

It’d be a bold move to sell Dumfries in the middle of the scudetto chase and rely on 34 year old Darmian the rest of the way. I like Buchanan and he might be a good player for us but Inzaghi clearly doesn’t agree at this particular moment.

Anyway Bisseck should stay at RCB. He can learn a lot from Benji tbh.

Also darmian offers nothing in attack, Dumfries can be clumsy but at least he brings some sort of threat down the right side which is what we need in the champions league to keep teams guessing.

Not only offense. Darmian has not looked that good on defense as a wingback as well... at this point his best position is rcb. Hes becoming to look like late Dambrosio on the wing and thats not good.

One or two below average performances aren't gonna write him off that easy. Darmian has shown to be VERY good attacking wise as well. Maybe this season not that much, but in overall he's been crucial in many occasions.

Don't understimate the fact that he's played most minutes out of all defenders (this season).

Give the guy a proper rest. Let Bisseck play some more. Pavard is still fresh because he hasn't played that much. Still uncertain regarding Dumfries' position, but if he's remaining here, let him share position with Bisseck. The latter can cover a few different roles, so it's a great thing.

Pretty sure Darmian will be amazing once he's gotten his legs rested and fresh. We know he's not technically gifted as Dimarco, but he's very intelligent and knows how to use his resources at certain situations, whether it's defensively or offensively.

Even though he was never the speediest player, he used to be decently quick or at least fast enough. That speed is clearly fading and he can’t be the attacking winger that you sometimes need from a wingback. That’s not say he can’t still be effective there. He is a smart player who understands the position and an excellent forward passer imo. That doesn’t count for nothing. (Darmian)

I hope he starts the next game, I think he can manage to play against one of the worst teams in Serie A.
