Bruno Peres that is what we need at winter mercato, this man is a beast, he and creative midfielder to replace Guarin will make our team PERFECT and BEAST

Handanovic
PERES Miranda Murillo Telles
Melo Kondogbia
SNEIJDER
Perisic Icardi Jovetic

sell Nagatomo, Dambrosio get Bruno Peres
sell Ranocchia and Guarin or Brozovic get Sneijder or Moutinho....

dreams are free.... right :)

I think that if JZ is our new Sport Director, Sneijder transfer will be easier :)

God forbid JZ ever becomes a sporting director. I love him but he's just incompetent when it comes to talent. IIRC he had some pretty outrageous evaluation of players we bought and failed, someone like Alvarez; or he was praising Zarate?!

There's a difference between being asked to comment on a fellow Argentine joining your club when you are a player/not part of the transfer team. It's obviously going to be positive. I don't think the only players Zanetti rated enough to speak out about were Alvarez and Zarate.

Nah, I have the memory that he tried to advertise some pretty mediocre guys to our management back in the day. Maybe I'm wrong, if anyone else can't recall such occasion; those were rumours of course.

pretty sure ledesma, carrizo, alvarez, zarate, denis, pruzzi, lavezzi, saviola have all been recommended by JZ. though at the same time, same goes for biglia, pastore, milito, dybala, palacio, tevez, aimar, so i think it has to do more with their nationality than anything else.

zanetti has no experience in football mgmt or as a sporting director. it would be suicidal to replace ausilio with him.

Do we actually know that he went to the management and told them they should sign these people or is it just that someone asked him if X Argentinan player is good and he obviously wouldn't say 'No he sucks'.

biglia, tevez, aimar, pastore, lavezzi were all personal recommendations. milito also said in an interview i have to thank zanetti for bringing me to inter. and with alvarez, he said he watched a few games of him in argentina and recommended him to branca.

Alvarez wasn't that bad when he first came, he just turned out to be shit later on.

For me Alvarez' problem was poor development, like Ranocchia. The players we brought in during those years that still needed some molding turned out to be shit because of our shit environment and mentality.

Also, Bandiera from what you're saying Zanetti has some pretty good taste in players that he actually recommends.

thatdude, i was just giving evidence for what wobblz was saying that he has recommended many mediocre players. to me he recommended all those players aside from tevez because they're argentine so that isnt evidence of anything other than bias. and being a sporting director is also a lot more than "scouting".

i disagree, alvarez's problem was not poor devlopment. would he have showed more if he was given more faith earlier on and arrived in a more stable environment? yes. would he be starting material for inter? i'm not so sure. his problem is that he is mentally and physically too slow to settle into a position and become a top player. hes also ridiculously one footed. ive read dude wasnt even a starter for his team in argentina where he was a utility player..

Well I'm certainly not attempting to argue Zanetti should be a director of any sort. For me his current position is the only position he needs. I'm very anti giving ex-players management positions based off their playing careers.

As for Alvarez. I think he had potential to be a very good AM or SS with proper guidance. I liked his physique and ability to score goals consistently when in form. He never had amazing vision but for me he was a very good dribbler and could create purely off his ability to beat a man. I also think he was always good in the derbys and Juve games, especially when he had Sneijder to link up with. It's to bad he wasn't in a better Inter side.

What does naming good players matter if some don't fit the coaches ideas?

This is what I think Internazionale's best line-up is, given our current roster and assuming all are healthy.

IN: Eder, L. Diarra, Widmer, Izzo
OUT: Ranocchia, Guarin, Montoya, Dodo, and maybe - Vidic? and Santon?

The news of the last few weeks: Udinese and Inter, after having spoken several times about Allan, without ever being able to find an agreement, might find themselves sitting at the table for another name that always tickles the imagination of Piero: Silvan Widmer, right-back class of 1993. Dodo, Santon and Montoya could leave the Pinetina and Roberto Mancini may need some expert profile to maintain a constant race to finish in Champions League places in the second part of the season. As collected by Calciomercato.com, soon Inter and Udinese will meet in Milan to start the negotiations.

Il Corriere dello Sport- Inter are eyeing Eder. Mancini likes the Sampdoria attacker and has made the player the alternative to Lavezzi. Montella assists Dodo in negotiations.

Genoa’s Armando Izzo seems to be Inter’s main target for the defense. Today Alfredo Pedulla reported that Inter are getting closer to signing the Italian defender. The Nerazzurri have been following the player since mid December, and Izzo could replace the outgoing Ranocchia. There is a lot of talk about Inter acquiring the defender for a loan with a right of redemption, and a deal could involve Diego Laxalt (currently on loan at Genoa). The Genoa player has a contract with the Grifone until 2019 and currently earns 500 000 euros a year. A deal is yet to materialize, and Izzo is a real target for Inter.

CdS - Diarra, serving 10 million. Guarin goodbye?

IN SUMMER: CALLERI, LAVEZZI OR CANDREVA, ZABALETA and Creative Midfielder - BIGLIA, MOUTIHNO etc...
OUT SUMMER: Palacio, Nagatomo, Biabiany, Jovetic, Vidic ............... and Icardi if we dont reach CL!

Why would Medel, a DM, play as RCM and put Brozovic in the bench? That makes no sense.

Medel and L. Diarra are DMC's, Kondogbia - CM/AMC aka Yaya Toure at City!!!

IN SUMMER Mancini want this:

Perisic/Ljajic Icardi/Calleri Candreva/Eder
Biglia/Medel Kondogbia/Brozovic Diarra/Melo
Telles/Dambrosio Murillo/Izzo Miranda/Juan Zabaleta/Widmer
Handanovic/Carizzo

Why would two DMCs play on the right side while the more offensive player play on the left side? That doesn't sound balanced. The offensive player would need two pillars on each side, not both of them on the right side. That just invites midfield exploitation.
