Gabigol is better on the wing, and Perisic/Candreva are not wingbacks.

FDB as I know him will definitely try this formation in some matches, but overall the formation is unbalanced and it's better to just send Medel and one of Gabi/Icardi to the bench and play with real full backs

Gabigol is better on the wing, and Perisic/Candreva are not wingbacks.

Technically, those eleven consisted of the costliest player we bought (kondo, perisic, candreva, mario, gabigol) and players with best individual quality we had in the squad (handa, miranda, medel, murillo, banega, icardi). it's de boer job to make them work in the game which is a realistic squad to me...

can't help if you prefer nagatomo and d'ambrosio as your prefered wingbacks.....but perisic and candreva is a workhorse to me and if daniel alves and marcelo can handle the wing back job just fine for their respective team, why can't perisic and candreva learn/perform this job? even eto'o do this under mourinho

So gabriel was nicknamed gabigol because he is better on the wing? why don't call him gabicross or gabassist then? and what should candreva/perisic do on the wing then? subbing each other off? nice idea!

it shouldn't if it doesn't work, but first the coach need to balls to test it. isn't that one of the reason we replace mancini with de boer?

it's not like i'm proposing mario as CF or gabigol as CD just for the sake playing them..

He can play wingback in a 3 man defense formation, has played it plenty of times in his career. I don't think it should happen though.
