I think that year zero under coach like Simeone is better that year five with Mancio.
It's unfair to say that he spent 90 million without mentioning the ones he sold.
Some of the players that he inherited didn't suit his philosophy so he exchanged them for the ones he thought were more suitable. There is nothing wrong with that the same way there is nothing wrong in selling some of the players you requested.
No matter how much scouting you do, you can't be 100% sure that X player will fit into your team. Some will succeed and some won't but the most important thing is to see an improvement.
If you are getting worse then you need to be concerned. Either try to figure out what the problem is and fix it or just bring in a different coach.
Doesn't matter how biased you are against Mancini, you have to admit that this team has been doing better than previous seasons.
Now, there is a matter of not reaching the expectations. Has Mancini reached our expectations (CL)? No, and he would probably won't. Now, if you want to bring in a coach who can achieve your expectations, you either go for a proven coach or just keep Mancini.
Coaches like Di Francesco and others like him, might do better and might do worse, there is no guarantee. We absolutely can't afford any more experiments and we can't afford year 0 again. So either keep Mancini or bring in someone like Simeone.
Mancini has improved the team. Small improvements, but still, they are improvements.
When was the last time Inter improved? 2009-2010?
Inter improvement this year is mostly due to the collection of better players compared to previous years. Inter are not any better in terms of gameplay, still the same mentality and clueless in tactics.
But I did mention the outgoing transfers.
Either way, I think Ed perfectly answers your criteria. If a clueless driver changes cars from a 1980's Toyota to a brand new Lamborghini, of course the results will be better - the speed, comfort, handling, looks etc, will all be an upgrade over the previous vehicle. But it doesn't change the fact that the driver (Mancini) still doesn't have a fucking clue what he's doing. And everyone knows that in a long, winding race that is the league, it's the skill of the driver that makes a huge difference, arguably more so than the quality of the vehicle.
I'm sorry but I find your post a bit ridiculous, maybe I didn't umderstand it properly.
But, as I said the most improtant thing is improvements. You can expect mid table team to all of sudden in only ONE SEASON to start playing attractive football and achieve results. Not to mention, the team is broke and all (or most of them) have to be self-funded!
Aren't you askking for a little too much?!
'Oh I want CL!!' 'Oh I want attractive football' 'oh our gameplay sucks'. Could we whine anymore?!!
All I'm saying is that, things are improving so let's give it a little more time. Everything can't. Be done in just one season.
Either guve Manicini more time or bring in a world class coach. No other solutions should be accepted!

This comparison is completely wrong because there is a huge difference in value between a 1980's Toyota and a Lamborghini. In Mancini's case he sold the 1980's Toyota and got something similar in value which better suited him and he did get better results.
Ok but if we hire an unproven coach and he turns out to be another Gasperini?
Can we afford the risk?
Hilarious that you bring up the one example of Gasperini to categorically rule out all coaches who aren't experienced, yet ignore that our last four managers with significant experience (Mancini, Mazzarri, Ranieri, Benitez) are/were failures.
