Y'all read this article. A very good read:

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/jan/28/christian-eriksen-inter-spurs-departure

"Eriksen joined Spurs from Ajax in what came to be known as the Bale summer of 2013 – the one in which Gareth Bale departed for Real Madrid and the club spent the £86m proceeds on seven new faces."

Let me put this into perspective: It starts with that notorious Tottenham-Inter CL showdown, where Bale becomes a player everyone wants to have. Real signs him for a world record fee, Tottenham gets the money and buys a few players, also Eriksen, a youngster they like to invest in and help flourish...

...and now we have a full circle when Tottenham has given Inter a world star in his prime, from those summer purchases of 2013.

Fellas, this is some George R.R. Martin shit right here. No writing can be this good and poetic.

:proud: :interflag: :proud:

Wait until he scores against Atalanta to secure the Scudetto in May.

Is it a 90th minute free kick, right outside the box?:)

Haven't been this excited by a signing for so long. I hope he will quickly regain the form that made his reputation. Not too worried about this as physically he looks well, generally injury-free. I'm convinced it's the mental block that caused his dip recently.

I would love to see Inter try out a diamond midfield at some point:

Eriksen
Sensi--------Barella
Brozovic

Maybe with Martinez out for the next 2 games, we could try this midfield behind Lukaku in a 3-5-1-1. And when Martinez is back, hopefully Conte will show some tactical flexibility and try this midfield in a 4-3-1-2 - which I think is the ideal formation that suits our squad the most.

The problem is Conte will never change his tactics and long time philosophy because of one player no matter how important he is. As much as I'm excited for this signing but I just can't help but to worry this might not be Conte's cup of tea kinda purchase, not sure where exactly would Erik fits in Conte's system.

I still wish this works out anyway, but tbh I have no clue how.

No way we are playing 4 CMs and 2 strikers.

I think its broadly fair to assume we will be 3 CBs for a while, which then restricts the range of formations. 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1 are most realistic, and I think we do need the two up front.

Pretty sure the game was a notorious EL showdown.

I love reading jubentuz.com members downplaying this transfer. You just know that the more they trash talk, the more frightened they actually are.
