I honestly don't see many options for Messi if he leaves Barcelona. We should be on the top of the list.
Juventus is out of the question since Cristiano is there and they can barely afford that. But I see that they may make this appealing to both. Even so, completely unrealistc.
I don't see him moving to a PL club, even if Guardiola is there. Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham can throw money at him, but he doesn't really need it and I cannot see him moving there. City may not even be in the Champions League and Guardola probably leaves them.
Bayern is an awkward move for him.
Real Madrid is out of the question.
Inter and in the rare case that Milan advances to a Champions League spot would be the safest bets for Messi's alternative club in case he leaves Barcelona, unless he wants to go to Newell's and finish his career there, but he doesn't strike me as the type. Teams like Napoli and Roma cannot even dream about this.
We need to establish ourselves in the pole position whether this is possible or not. If we seem able to entertain the notion that Messi may come here, anyone could come. Odds of Messi leaving Barcelona are extremely low, but since there's a crack in the window, we might as well pounce.
