Inter might have financial problems at the moment but they still boast Serie A’s richest owners in Suning.

Forbes (via FcInter1908.it) released their annual list of the world’s wealthiest individuals earlier this week and revealed Zhang Jindong was 339th, with a fortune worth a staggering $7.4 billion.

Fiorentina’s owner Rocco Commisso is second on Forbes’ 2021 rich list in terms of Serie A (352nd overall), with a personal fortune of $7.2 billion.

Bologna’s Joey Saputo completes the podium with his family said to be worth $5.7 billion, putting him 486th on the overall list.

AC Milan’s Paul Singer, who runs the Elliott hedge fund which controls the Rossoneri, is next up with a fortune worth $4.3 billion (665th on the overall list).

Marco Bellinazzo: “Suning Not Considering Inter Sale Anymore, Juventus Need Player Sales More Than Nerazzurri”

Inter’s off-field uncertainty is slowly but surely coming to an end, a leading Italian football finance expert assured tonight.

The Nerazzurri have endured a turbulent start to 2021 away from the pitch, with intense speculation over the club’s financial plight and the subsequent future of owners Suning.

Il Sole 24 Ore reporter Marco Bellinazzo has moved to calm Inter supporters’ concerns about what lies ahead, albeit there are still a few issues for Suning to sort.

“Inter’s worst period is behind them now,” Bellinazzo told Calciomercato.com during a live broadcast on Twitch this evening.

“They are looking very well set on the pitch and their club issues are sorting themselves out at the same time.

“They were fortunate that during the most difficult period, they had a strong management which withstood everything that was being thrown at them from outside.

“Inter aren’t in a completely calm situation now but no club is, given the financial difficulties of the current season.

“Suning aren’t considering the idea of selling Inter anymore, although if someone came and offered €1 billion (Suning’s reported asking price) then they would think about it.

“What’s for sure is that they won’t be spending big in the future, so they’ll be operating differently to the past when they invested more than €600 million during the first few years.

“The loan deal which Suning are about to secure for Inter will enable them to plan for next season.”

Inter supporters were alarmed last week when reports in certain sections of the Italian media suggested that they would have to sell key players this summer.

Bellinazzo assured the situation was not as dramatic as some sources had made out, and even said that Inter were in a stronger position than Juventus heading into the transfer window.

“The chance to secure capital gains (from player sales) is much lower than it was before COVID-19, but no club can afford to not complete these kinds of deals,” he added.

“At the moment, Inter have less need to sell a key player compared to Juventus.”

Suning have been Inter’s owners since the summer of 2016 and it seems they are unlikely to depart the club anytime soon.

Would this loan come and bite us on the ass later?

Only if we boycott Champions League football again and/or make some very questionable decisions in our transfer policy.

That's it, if the terms aren't just making Inter be the sucker for Suning's inability to provide liquidity.

Well, I guess joining the "Super Duper League" will solve some of the financial problems. Grande, at what cost to our collective souls remains to be seen.

Ben Jacobs (British journalist who often tweets about Inter, Suning and PIF):

Told this morning by Suning sources that there's no desire to sell Inter outright. They're open, as previously reported, to minority investment. But ESL windfall, even if not imminent, would allow for a partner or more stop-gap financing to get club on a firmer financial footing. The current Goldman Sachs loan has fast repayment terms. That usually means more money (beyond just end-of-season prize money or new-season income) is coming. But Suning, who have considered selling previously, now want to stay.

Apparently it won't affect this season.

https://www.football-italia.net/169391/figc-any-penalties-will-not-affect-current-championship

But if it means that Uefa will want to fuck us NEXT season, by not participating in the CL, then the league will have to find itself a new champion for this season, no? I don't know.

If uefa do that, all these clubs will play in the super league because they will need the money. That would be the worst thing uefa can do. Uefa are recording hundreds of millions a year in profits. That's what they need to share more to the bigger clubs. Uefa would be nothing without the big clubs.

I told you these guys didn't want to sell, they just wanted someone to help pay the bills. I wish they did sell though.

Moratti, come back please. Get Armani, Benetton, Ferrero, Provera or whomever else you want with you, even fucking Berlusconi, just someone save us from this travesty...

We will see if this will go through but changes are certain after this.

History and traditions wont’t dissapear???

What the fuck are you talking about? There will not be any games against Atalanta or Napoli or CL games... all that just dissapeared! All Inter history became just a distant memory when we played in Serie A...

What is the reason this chance is inevitable? Are you gonna just take it as they put it and continue like nothing happened?
