Lautaro Martinez

I am actually one of the first few that raised the possibility that LM's "out of form" is contributed to pairing with Dzeko, but I actually won't go as far as saying Dzeko can only be played as a solo striker, just not with LM.

The way how Simone plays Dzeko, Caicedo is actually the best to pair with him, style wise. Dzeko doesn't support the strikers by dropping back (no increase in creativity), but relieving the midfield pressure, nor does it create space, cause he is not prime Messi, CB won't get get out of position to tight mark him, since they know Dzeko couldn't do shit and run the ball at them.

In other words, when LM is playing Dezko, he needs to play both Lukaku's and his old role to shine. I believe one day he can evolved to this level but definitely not now.

Martinez has what it takes to become a World Class striker, and he can become our main striker; however, he still needs to learn how (how Milito played back then without Eto is a good reference), but for now if you want to get the most out of him, play him with players that can create chances and space for him; he knows that part of the game already.

TLDR version: Don't fucking sell him, and don't pair him with Dzeko!

I am also against his sale, but i have a feeling Suning gonna cash on him in the summer

everyone is losing their shit over radu and di marco.. but lets not forget that this guy fucked up 3 clear chances to end the game in the first half. I really hope we will sell him in the summer while we can still get some decent money for him.

Hope he keeps scoring. Love lautaro but if we have to sell a big player it's gotta be him.

WHY IS HE STARTING WITH DZEKO??? yesterday was a perfect example of the problem! lauti gets the ball 2 vs 2 dzeko run is absolute horse shit lauti has to play the shitty pass. This is literally why he has been struggling this season and I say that lightly because he has tied his goal tally last season.. he would have a much better year if he didnt have a cone next to him the entire year.

Told you guys long time ago that Lautaro is not world class player. He will never be prolific goalscorer.

You can't teach that. He can be good system player in 3-5-2 (only system where he can play) but never main man that will carry team like Lukaku.

He is slow, small and does not have skills. His main pron is workrate. That says all about him.

Martials biggest problem is his finishing is god damn laughable. If people think Lautaro is bad Martial is worse. Martial has traits that interest me, mostly his pace and the fact he can take on a defender better than lautaro can, but he's not what's needed. Although if we're really just gonna piss away 40+ on scammacca I'd take Martial.

Agreed right up until the last bit Keep in mind there's zero way that we (or anyone else) will pay 40m cash for Scamacca. It'd include inflated value player swaps etc.

Either way, I would prefer a big gamble on Scamacca over getting Martial. I hate everything about that player. Always displays frustrating and complacent body language, with a completely disinterested look on his face, his finishing is not only poor, but really half-assed, loves the flashy shit but can't do the basics. For me, everything about Martial just screams "I don't give a shit" and I find him the definition of a style-over-substance player.

If he was a bit more composed he could have been around 30 goals. That killer instinct and finishing he had when he came it's kind of washed away a bit, if only he'd be more calm he could be such a beast at scoring goals.

I hope we keep him, even though our attack failed us miserably this season he still got 20+ goals, keeping him would get you at least that 20 from him next season. Selling him would mean you need to find someone to at least match those numbers, and those options are not cheap and would need time to settle in club, playstyle etc.. Just get him proper partner up top and we are good to go.

Funny because I have the feeling this season is his most inconsistent season with us. Especially because he is a bit older and more experienced.
