is this statement mean any truth???
someone please explain this to me...
cuz if we really own that half, imo we should target bonucci this summer to come and play again with us...

Preziosi could sell Ranocchia to us and keep Bonucci. :)

Would be huge. If Bonucci is still at Genoa, we can get him later. Eventually one Ranocchia won't solve our CB situation long-term. Chivu is our only CB not yet 30, and he will be 30 next October. Given his fragile body, we can't count on him being our fixed CB for the coming years. In 2012 summer we will be short of CBs when Lucio, Cordoba and Materazzi are all gone. Samuel is old man by then, not a starting material anymore at the age of 34.

I see no reason why Inter shouldn't get Bonucci at some point, if he keeps developing.

I can see the point very well. :) Both are Italian, Bonucci Inter product, both very young and most importantly, our backline is getting old as Cafe said. Would be good to get both, one of them should stay on loan for a year or two.

I don't want both of them at the same time. One will do; we need to do a change in our CB line-up next season but not one that is too radical. Next season, Lucio - Samuel should still be the preferred #1 & #2 with Ranocchia as the #3. The season after, Ranocchia is a guaranteed starter with either Lucio or Samuel.

We don't need to rush these things, in one or two season, there will be some new CBs to buy.

Chivu with Samuel are number 2/3. Ranocchia will be number 4, and will be slowly but systematicly introduced to the first team football.

I don't think we're gonna spend 15 million Euros to plan for someone to be our 4th choice defender.

Chivu will be used mostly as a LB I feel.

But anyways, this hardly matters, it's all just plans. What's most important is that we secure his signature. Because injuries, suspensions and form is what's gonna dictate the order, and we can't predict that now can we. :)
