It's not about Inter bidding enough. It's about Hamsik wanting to leave. If he will want to leave, we have as good chances as any.

And it's not like we're competing with Napoli over CL place. We're level above any other italian team. Inter with Hamsik, or without makes no difference.

Hamsik from what I heard is down to earth guy, meaning he is not chasing after money like crazy. That means, it won't be much of a question of money, but more like where he will like to go, and he already said in the beginning of the season that he would like to end up at Inter some day or something like that.

Inter also became a very strong and nice destination for serie a players. For foreign players it might not work, but sometimes players do not like to switch countries, and if Hamsik will preffer to stay in Italy, which is not a science fiction scenario, we'll be his primary destination.

So I fail to see how we have small chances of getting him, because to me, if he was available we would be favourites to land him.

Calderon just said Inter were very close to breaking the agreement Real Madrid had for Ronaldo last summer, in order for Inter to sign him, and ManU was happy to do that given the poor relationship they have with RM, but CR himself wanted to honor that agreement and eventually decided to go to RM anyway.

Oh man, how nice it would have been...add to that that Ibra would probably not had left if CR came...

In order to get Ronaldo, Ibra would have to been sold. Eto'o on the otherhand probably would not have come.

You are right that Hamsik seems like a down-to-earth guy. But I'm pretty certain he has never really said anything like "At someday I want to play at Inter". There would have been an outrage towards him by Napoli fans. I believe he said that if he's to leave someday, he wants to play in a club like Inter, and by that he referred Inter as a big club.

You are also right that Inter seems to be the destination for top talent in Italy now (albeit not for Italians). However, the foreign big clubs may still be the destination for Hamsik. Ancelotti might well be dreaming of him to replace Ballack and Deco old guard at his team. It would indeed be interesting to see Hamsik at Inter with all our stars, but as the price is so high, I don't see it too possible that Hamsik will move to Inter. Like said, Hamsik being down-to-earth guy, he's hardly gonna go to Chivu-mode and insist that he wants only Inter. That is the way to get his price down. I'd be very surprised seeing Moratti splash 25-30m€ to Hamsik.

id prefer ronaldo wide on the right over eto'o

how bout you?

one such advantage wouldve been that balotelli would learn to dive better (ie not get caught as often)

another wouldve been recycling of R9 shirts out in public

I don't know. I've called this guy gay/fag/queer/homo/diving prick way too many times in my life to ever accept him at Inter. He is however, several times better than Zlatan and even though he cries a lot and shit, he carried Man U to a league and UCL but was never a prick to his team mates on the field. Which is something that can't be said about Zlatan, AFIAK.

Hamsik: «Se dovessi andare via mi piacerebbe giocare nell'Inter: grande squadra, grande società e grande mister»

"If I ever leave, I would like to play for Inter: Great squad, great society, great coach".

Does it answer all your questions guys ?

If my eyes are not broken, I don't see "a big club like inter" over there, I see "I would like to play for Inter".

Or maybe I'm mistaken ?

So please stop acting people, like we have no chance if Hamsik was to leave Napoli, because we would be favourites to land him.

And that quote you copypasted here seals the case? Okay.

To me we have a small chance, not a big one. This summer the chance is IMO very low. Still I'm not saying that 100% sure it won't happen.

if we look at those 25-30 millions price tag, then definitely overrated, i can say it, too.

He is not so much up-grade in gameplay as many thinks (and the price tag say), his main strength is arriving before the goal and scoring easy goals from second chances or breaking the man-marking.

he can be a good player, even for Inter, but not worth 25-30 million, i think.

i would give him maximum 15-16 million, but i would prefer some exchange.
im sure we have a lots of players in inventory who can be good solution for a Napoli-calibre team (mainly Mancini, Burdisso, Suazo, Rivas etc.)

That is out of the question. I know it, you know it that De Laurentiis is not going to sell his star player for that price. In addition, those players mentioned have way too big salary for Napoli's salary budget. They spend money on transfer fees but not on salaries. Maybe Rivas could go for their budget but then his value isn't too high.

This quote doesn't equal this:

I believe he said that if he's to leave someday, he wants to play in a club like Inter, and by that he referred Inter as a big club.
Does it ?

Playing for a "big club like Inter", and openly admiting he would like to play Inter someday is quite a difference, or maybe not ?

Do you see often players admiting something like that publicly ? (And I don't mean players like Tavano)

Because I don't.

Yep,Rivas could be an interesting target for Napoli becouse they need some defenders and the colombian is one of the best in his role in Italy....the others as you said are out for salary reasons (but there are some chances that Roma,Genoa and Milan will buy them at the end of the season)

i would spend all next season transfer budget to get him, if his price is still below 40 million Inter should get him, no need to buy anyone else.
I don't care if he is over priced or not because he is the most suitable player for Inter(and Jose) and will become Inter's leader in the future

Lets wait and see who we go for in the summer. Last time this year nobody were mentioning sneijder. I am confident the management will get us what we need.

No way. 40 million, LOL. For that money, Fabregas can be bought, not a Hamsik (i hope, you feel the difference between names and performance)

If Hamsik isnt available for MAXIMUM 20 million, i would say him to stay in Napoli.

Or maximum 20 million+Rivas+Burdisso (his salary not too high).

even if we get Fabregas, i think he will play for Inter maximum 5 years.
He will back to spain before age 29. That's different with Hamsik, he can be our legend like Zanetti
