I follow Tottenham very well and Modric will not be leaving the year they get into CL. If they do terrible and don't qualify again next year then yes but not this summer.

i know that he is happy there, playing with kranjcar and corluka, and they are doing fine...but i think for the right price tottenham might let him go...we will be european champions, and that will be tempting for modric...i don't see it as impossible, but there were rumors that also Chelsea and ManU are going after him...

I don't think Modric is what we need, he is too redundant with Sneijder.

Gerrard would be a better fit, but I personally think he's past it and a bit of a twat on top of it, so I'd prefer we get Hamsik. Yaya would be an excellent choice as well, and if Barca are going to let him go, we should be bidding for him.

we don't need david silva... He is great player, winger who can play as AMC, but not good defensively enough for us.. Plus i think there are cheaper options than him with similar quality...

Sneijder
Modric is pure class. He could switch roles with Sneijder, or allow Sneijder to fill a role deeper in midfield, giving us greater creativity overall. I also like Moussa Sissoko out of France, as a prospect. Krasic, Kolarov, Vargas, and of these players would be great additions. They are great on the flank, while our existing team is really strong through the middle. Thats why Pandev was such a vital piece of the puzzle, providing a quality left foot out on the left wing.

Modric is too similar with Sneijder. There's absolutely no way that the 2 can co-exist.

I want Gerrard. In times of uncertainty (new coach), we need proven players and Gerrard is definitely one of them.

As I've mentioned before, his versatility would also be a plus, as he can play in Motta's or Sneijder's position.

No to Gerrard, I'd still prefer Toure over him! If there's anything I know from our victory this season - It's that the key players we got this season all had a chip on their shoulder/ something to prove. Toure is in kind of like a "Sneijder" situation with Barca and he has the talent to boot as well as youth. I repeat that Gerrard might be too big for his breeches or might not have that hunger anymore and seems past his prime. I'd rather risk it with Toure, than overpay and risk it with Gerrard.

The big coup The majority of economic reinforcement will focus on the midfield, where Muntari will end up on the market for cash, Quaresma could return to Sporting Lisbon in an exchange for Veloso. In this department, one big signing will arrive. Top of the list is Javier Mascherano, the 26 year-old central midfielder of Liverpool. With Cambiasso, they would form an insurmountable barrier, ideal to continue to focus on the three-man supporting cast behind the lone striker. There is also the 24 year-old Frenchman Vassiriki Abou Diaby, the column of Arsenal and the 1.90 clone of Vieira. Then there's Schweinsteiger, was born as an winger but he's currently playing as a central midfielder for Bayern Munich. The dream is Steven Gerrard, the symbol and flag of Liverpool, Inter would not have the slightest doubt to enter into negotiations with Liverpool.

A lot of names are being thrown out there.

Gerrard is the dream but Mascherano could be the big name that we are going to add to our midfield (according to Gazzetta)

Mascherano and Cambiasso are two of the best defensive minded midfielders in the world. Mascherano occupies Cambiasso's spot in Maradona's midifeld. Marodona feels he doesnt need Cambiasso because Mascherano is quicker and can carry the ball forward and be a better use in his attacking style of football. Mascherano with Cambiasso as the two dm in the 4-2-3-1 would be a hell of a wall in front of Lucio and Samuel

Santon-Lucio-Samuel-Zanetti

---Mascherano---Cambiasso---

---Eto'o--Sneijder----Balotelli----

----------Milito-------------------

Zanetti-----Lucio----Samuel-----Chivu
----------Cambiasso---------------

---Masherano-----Gerrard---------

-----------Sneijder---------------

------Eto'o-----------Milito-------

The second lineup would be ideal under Capello.

There's no Maicon or Kolarov in this lineup because along with De rossi it looks like many r saying they will be on real Madrid. Milito has too many friends at Inter and Moratti is ready to offer him more money and renew his contract. That defense scares me but overall the team could do damage.
