As for Spain, how does Michu not even get a chance?

Because Del Bosque thinks using Cesc as a false 9 is the solution to everything.

Having Aquilani, Pirlo and Montolivo in the same team is stupid, he should've at least called up Bonaventura instead of Aquilani.

Osvaldo went on a bitch-fest after only getting 15min playing time in the Coppa final. Insulting Andreazzoli in person & on twitter + skipping the medal ceremony = violating Prandelli code of ethics. Roma will sell him too most likely.

I agree about Di Natale, he's older but way better than Gila. I don't think Astori is better than Rano either.
Prandelli ethics code is a joke, it doesn't work with milan and juventus players

I think the Brazilian squad is pretty weak compared to all the ones before it. Biggest stars are a CB in Silva and Dani Alvez. Everyone else are just promising youngster or over rated like Neymar.

I think Spain will take it. I just really hope Uruguay recovers its form as its been shit since Copa Amercia. They really need to drop Forlan. I really can't think of a better attacking duo then Suarez-Cavani

Gilardino, Giaccherini :palm:

Also amazing how Balzaretti and Criscito went from first choice LBs to not even on the squad.

Criscito picked up a cruciate ligament rupture. Out until September according to Transfer Markt.

And yes Giaccherini constantly being called up for the Azzurri is one of the bigger mysteries of life. Fucking guy barely even plays for the Old Cunt and Prandelli calls him up. Then again, he also called up Schelotto so maybe he has a thing for mediocre wingers.

To be honest they are the only wide players that aren't just agile strikers.

Confederations Cup

As we all know, the Confederations Cup starts in a week. Who do you expect to win? Which players do you think will shine in the competition? Oh and who's gonna be top scorer?

haha you prefer Uruguay lift it? I want Uruguay to get good again. I have no clue WTF happened to them and Chile. They were both the best 2 teams in South America. They lost to Colombia and then have been utter shit

I think Spain are definite favourites, and a shout out to Italy who have a pretty good side but were awful against the Czech Republic and were lucky to get away with a point. Brazil are not Brazil tbh, probably it's the worse time for them to host a world cup but it's football and anything can happen, when they won it on 2002 no one was expecting them to, even though it wasn't such a good World Cup considering all those awful referee decisions/

If Naga plays at the same level against Brazil as he played against Australia the other week, he won't be seen much, let me tell you.

Zico: "There’s every chance of this game being one of the toughest ever between the two sides. The Japanese have more and more players filling vital roles in leagues like those of Germany, Italy, England and Russia. Brazil, while favourites, are still looking for their best starting XI and the right formation.”

Have to agree with Zico's opinion regarding this game, should be a difficult one for both sides and also looking forward to the Kagawa-Gustavo duels :D
