According to TMW, John Obi Mikel, Chelsea's Nigerian experienced midfielder, was offered to Inter. It would be a euro 5-6 million deal because his contract will expire in June 2017 and the Nerazzurri took time.

#EFC #Everton Everton target Axel Witsel now set for Inter Milan move after break down in Napoli talks
Inter Milan have made a last-ditch attempt to land Everton target Axel Witsel.
The Merseyside club are hoping to land the Belgian midfielder this summer but have faced stiff competition from across Europe, especially Italy.
It had looked as though Witsel was about to leave Zenit St Petersburg for Napoli, who had edged ahead of Everton in the race to sign him.
But now, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are the Serie A side now most likely to sign the 27-year-old this month.
It has been reported that talks regarding a move to Napoli have broken down, despite the Serie A side agreeing a fee with Zenit.
And that has opened the door for Inter to complete a late switch ahead of Everton.

Leak out rumors about the non-arrival of Axel Witsel.
According to the official radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Witsel was already closed. Agreement was reached with both the clubs, than with the footballer. De Laurentiis had personally led the negotiations, drawing on technical advice of Salvatore Bagni.
Subsequently, by means of a summit between President, Guintoli and Sarri, the latter, it seems not to have expressed appreciation for the choice of the Zenit midfielder.
The reasons we believe are of a tactical nature, in fact Belgian has never been used in a midfield three.
Axel Witsel in his national team, playing in midfield to a 2 in a 4-2-3-1, while in the Zenit, was often used as an attacking midfielder or anyway, not in a midfield three as it deploys Naples. But this was common knowledge (we explain it here too), to the early rumors, it was thought of Witsel, as a tactic Sarri variant that could be taken. Evidently it is not.
The Tuscan coach, has always insisted that about the market is not interested. He has always said that Guintoli knows his tactical “creed”, and that he coached anyone was purchased. Obviously, we think that Mr. Sarri has a say….so much.
At this point we ask ourselves a question. It’s possible that these important operations, they did not consult before? It’s possible that a club level of Naples, which for several years participates regularly to European competitions, can commit these defections?
It must be said that they are still rumors, which, however, will never be confirmed by the club. However, if they were true, would demonstrate a corporate organization rather than reviewable.
