There are no confirmations from either Sky or Pedulla for Eriksen. They both insist Vidal is the priority for January while Eriksen is a target for the summer. Re Vidal, Pedulla reports we could raise our offer from 12m (loan with option) to 15-16m ( loan with obligation) to convince Barcelona. He also reports there's nothing with Acuna like there was nothing with Weigl (dig at Di Marzio)

Not really. Yes, they said that Vidal is priority but they also say that Eriksen is a valid alternative if there is really a chance to get him for 20M.

So Vidal for a loan + obligation of 15mil? That's a lot of money for an old player who doesn't play much at Barca. I know they are different players but we should just put the money towards securing Eriksen, whatever it costs within reason because he's someone who can make a difference now, and in the future as he's still only 27.

He's technically 28, being born on Valentines day... which in FIF years is actually 32.

I bet Paratici has left 47 missed calls on Eriksen's agent's phone. I'm genuinely wondering why he hasn't been linked more strongly to the Serie B champions.

The momentum is mounting. They didn't have four teams in European finals last year by accident. Money almost always wins in football, and over time their advantage will only grow.
wel, yeah it was by accident. Shitty Tottenham wasn't the second best team in the world last year.

If anything he's picked a lady that he actually fell in love with and had some connection with, not some inflated fuck-doll gold-digger whore. Props to him for that.

BTW don't know about the wifey but he's like top 5 in assists in the last decade with numbers similar to those of De Bruyne, playing for fucking Tottenham of all clubs.

This is may be my lack of awareness:

1) Tot has almost no power in this deal. We did the easy part, an agreement with the club. The hard part is to reach an agreement with the player.

2) In contrasting situation where the club has the most power, reaching an agreement with the player would mean nothing.

The point is that: its too early to tell unless Ericksen accepts us?

The question is do you want to spend 20 million on a player who you could have for free, potentially, in six months. These type of deals don't happen often. The last one I can think of is United swapping Mkhitaryan for Sanchez, who had an expiring deal.

So as expected, there's no difference in wages and the only difference in signing him now or in June is the €20m transfer fee.

The key word is "if", but if the difference between securing Eriksen now and potentially missing out on him in January, is just €20m, we'd be stupid not to pay it.

Imagine we miss out on him because we tried to save money and sign him for free in June instead of paying €20m in January. There'd be a riot here.

Mmmm from the reports I’m under the impression that he’s willing to come here...... or is it my hopeful thinking??

It all just might be that the agent leaked the interest to get the other teams to react.

If we pull this off then idk conte and Marotta have been working to convive him for months or he might be an undercover inter fan.

I don’t think he wants to leave so bad that he can’t wait for the summer for real and Farca.

Idk what to think I’m going crazy..... I haven’t been this exited for a player since Sneijder.

We wanted to give Modric that salary, now it’s Gabi money plus same salary for 5-6 yrs younger player. It’s no brainer.

So as expected, there's no real story of any agreement.

Nicolo Schira of GdS:

Christian #Eriksen will NOT leave in January. His agent (Martin Schoots) is working for summer as a free agent. Talks ongoing with #Inter, #PSG and #RealMadrid. He has rejected a #Tottenham’s bid for renewing his contract (wages of €9M a year+bonuses). #transfers #THFC

We won't get him folks. This might be just things our management will pursue to drive more leverage on Vidal.

I said earlier it doesn't make sense for Eriksen to do a transfer now.
