I'd be tempted to bring Zaniolo back if he's on the market. We've got a 15% discount, after all.

Zaniolo Barella Sensi Tonali would be incredible, with Eriksen as well.

Inevitably it'd mean selling Brozovic, Gagliardini, Joao Mario, Vecino, but for me it'd be worth it to have that midfield.

4-2-3-1 PLZ!?

???? Skriniar De Vrij ?????
Sensi Barella
Zaniolo Eriksen ???
Lautaro

Huh? We have a 15% discount on Zaniolo? I never heard anything like that - is it part of a sell on clause or something?

Inter will get 15% of Zaniolo's transfer fee, so it basically means we would have 15% discount for him.

Sensi-Barella-Eriksen in center is suicidal tbh. Two of them can't defend at all and the other one is too short.

Who would be the coach? Conte certainly wouldn't start this lineup.

Honestly, Sensi isnt too shabby at being good cover defensively (in terms of positioning more so than tackling), and Barella can defend - though he fouls too heavily.

Bear in mind we'd have a Skriniar-De Vrij defense, with less attacking full-backs too we'd be quite formidble imho.

One of the big reasons Cambiasso was so important for La Grande Inter was partly to compensate for Maicon, but also because Lucio gets a little drifty - with DeVrij-Skriniar, you can be a lot more comfortable imho

It would be same disaster like United buying back Pogba. No, thank you.

Chiellini: 'Vidal liked a drink'

Giorgio Chiellini reveals how alcohol was Arturo Vidal’s ‘weakness’ and recalls the time when Antonio Conte was ready to ‘kick him out’ of Juventus’ squad. [ autobiography]. Now, the 35-year-old has passed judgment on Vidal, with whom he won four Scudetti between 2011 and 2015.

“A footballer isn’t a devil or a saint. The distinction to be made is quite another. That is, between those who are real and those who are fake,” he wrote in an excerpt leaked by SOS Fanta.
“Someone like Vidal sometimes went out and drank more than they should’ve. Everyone knew it. It can be said that alcohol was a bit of a weakness for him.
“However, that doesn’t put into question whether he is a champion or which type of person he is.

“Weaknesses are part of human nature. What matters are the consequences they can have on a squad.
The great Arturo didn’t show up for training a couple of times a year or, when he did, let’s say he was rather merry. However, he never slacked. On the contrary, I think that sometimes, certain ways of being can make you stronger.

“Unfortunately, I didn’t get to know Paolo Montero that well. He was someone else who lived like a king at night. During his last season with us, when his performance levels had dropped, Moggi went to him and said: ‘Paolo, please stop staying at home in the evening. Go back to your old ways!’ Vidal was a bit like that.

“I still remember a preseason tour in the US. We were in Miami the night before our last training session and were given hall passes.
The next morning, Arturo was nowhere to be seen. He was in bed and he had to be physically dragged out.
“We also tried out our new training gear that day. We were all dressed in black, in 40°C heat: Conte couldn’t wait to kick him out of the squad and make an example out of him.
Instead, after 10 minutes when Arturo still looked drunk and didn’t even see the ball go by, he ended up running like crazy and beat everyone else by 20 metres.

“What can you say to a person who, among other things, brings joy to a squad, as well as being someone who drives the team on and is both a fighter and a great champion?”

> Now we know why Conte wants Vidal back so hard. Let`s hope he is still able to perform like that ;)

Sorry but such "drinking, no proper training but play well" excuses are just bs. That's unprofessionalism. I heard exactly the same for Radja and we all know how that turns out.

Don't forget Chiellini played with prime-age Vidal and we are getting the 33yo version. If he can't stop his habits, stay away from him.

We seem to be getting Vidal, wether we like it or not. This means Conte & Marotta still trust him to deliver, despite we still own Radja. Or perhaps Vidal has this alcohol thing under control by now?

On the other hand, this was written by Chiellini. After seeing how Conte was chasing Vidal all summer & winter, he might have wanted us fans have the above-mentioned reaction, to eventually prevent Inter from signing him because Vidal is actually a strong player.

> Roma are in financial trouble and could be forced to sell, as the club posted huge debts of €278.5m (an increase of almost €60m from their financial statement ending June 30 of last year). The delays in the takeover talks with the Friedkin Group and failure to qualify for the Champions League have put extra financial pressure on the Giallorossi, who have been regularly selling top stars for years now.

Multiple papers are speculating the future of Zaniolo and Lorenzo Pellegrini, who has a €30m release clause in his contract that would allow clubs to snap him up without negotiation. For Pellegrini PSG are the favourites, but there is also interest from Juventus, Inter, Milan and Premier League sides. I remember Marotta likes him and he rejected us because he wants to be the next symbol of Roma after Totti & De Rossi.

There is no need to pay that amount in cash, could be referring to overall deal value [including player(s) as counter-parts, such as Pinamonti?)]

I also claimed some time ago he will sign with Inter. There were several things hinting to this, culminating with the statement from Marotta. For me, Tonali to Inter is done deal.

French media outlet Le10Sport: Brescia Italian international midfielder Sandro Tonali has been “promised” to Inter. According to the report Tonali and his agents were unable to reach an agreement with the Bianconeri, leaving a window of opportunity for the Nerazzurri to swoop in which they did, taking full advantage of the delay. The Milanese club quickly entered negotiations and reached an agreement with the player, who has now been promised to the Nerazzurri, the report continues, overtaking Juventus but Paris Saint-Germain as well.

Biasin then went on to discuss Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, who has been heavily linked with moves to Inter and their arch rivals Juventus. “Inter believe in Tonali. Last year the management focused heavily on Barella, the same speech this year applies to Tonali. There is a good chance of seeing him in the Nerazzurri. Cellino is an old fox and will wait it out before giving a definitive yes to any team because there is a lot of competition.”

:slick: great signing.

He would be my dream signing for us, but he won't come. If he leaves there will be way bigger clubs to join. Same goes with Werner

What's up with the Werner rumours? Do you think he will join Liverpool?

GdS Report: Inter dream of Hakimi

Inter are allegedly dreaming of a move for Real Madrid loanee Achraf Hakimi, who scored a brace against the Nerazzurri in Europe this term. Hakimi has found continuity on loan at Borussia Dortmund this campaign and has showcased his skills on the biggest stage of European football, with four goals in eight games for Die Schwarzgelben in the Champions League.

The right-back’s performances have, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, prompted Inter to look for the resources to start negotiating with Los Blancos. However, Juventus have also targeted the Morocco international, who has been valued at €50m by Real Madrid after contributing three goals and 10 assists in his 26 Bundesliga matches for BVB.

The Nerazzurri dream of bringing him to San Siro, but the newspaper claims the road could be too complicated for the Italian giants. Victor Moses looks set to leave Inter when his initial loan deal expires, as CEO Beppe Marotta does not seem willing to pay the €12m agreed with Chelsea in January and Hakimi has been identified as the ideal replacement for the Nigerian.

> I would pay €50m with my eyes closed, just don`t see Real Madrid selling him, let alone for this price.
His stats are INSANE!!! 38 matches, 7 goals & 10 assists.

Honestly can`t think of a better signing for the right side... Dream indeed. Spanish newspaper AS are linking Hakimi’s future to Real’s right-back Daniel Carvajal. He is a regular starter at the club and could stand in Hakimi’s way just like he did for Álvaro Odriozola, who then joined Bayern Munich on loan.
