But Lotito has all the cards with that long contract so we should just forget about it. Not the least because he is indeed proper for CB spot, not side CBs (most probably).

Yes, I would try something like that. There was a rumor of us getting back to Kumbulla and we would leave him to Verona for an year.

If we lose Godin and Ranocchia, I don't think we can afford to go with De Vrij/Skriniar/Bastoni/Kolarov/D'Ambrosio/Darmian as center backs. We need new CB, a real CB and Kumbulla would be a nice addition if we can make it work financially with some kind of loan + option/obligation. Loan can be an expensive one and indeed be paid by a player like Salcedo (buyback option for 2 years at least please).

Last season we had De Vrij/Skriniar/Bastoni/Godin and everyone got to play at least 2500 minutes (Bastoni). We need to have AT LEAST 4 good CBs.
