I like Dumfries every time watching him play. But obviously not as much as some Dutch friends here, who claimed Dumfries is shit

When you praise your countryman it can be biased (Falcao law). But reverse law usually does not apply... so I dunno, let's see.

He seems to have atleast some quality, can score and assist, the only thing Im worried is that we are definitely losing on pace as he's 1.90 , built like Lukaku.

Analysis of Dumfries if anyone is interested.

I’m shocked for that price someone hasn’t already excerised the option. Especially after the euros performance.

yep, it's hard to rate the player after short tournament, but I really liked Dumfries in these matches. He was everywhere, great in the attacking phase and always on time at the back.
He looked also like a treat in the air. Very tall and strong. We have almost no player who is great in the air in our front (Lukaku cannot jump, Lautaro is too small, maybe only Perisić). I think he could finish a lot of crosses from the left (from Dimarco) with the header. Maybe he could have similar role to Sergej from Inzaghi's Lazio when it comes to finishing chances with the head.

Btw, was he playing as the right back or right wingback in PSV?

Dumfries would definitely be a risky choice. Straight from Eredivisie to the title holder of Serie A. 15m€ fee + I bet at least 5m€ fee to Raiola. I'd see big chances for yet another Lazaro/Dalbert. But I'd also think our management have learnt their lesson by now and if they sign him, they are certain he's gonna give more than those two names.

These loan alternatives (Bellerin, Zappacosta) would be less riskier as they'd be financially much smaller hits. Lazzari is probably the most expensive one, but of course the safest bet.

Molina looks like he has some good pace and technique to his game in the very limited amount of time I’ve seen him. And Lautaro would probably be more tempted to renew if he had more of the asado clan around.

At this point we're in full problem-gambling mode - the mode where you're several thousand dollars down at the blackjack tables and the only possible way to make back your money is to bet even higher in the hopes of winning big enough to cover your astronomical losses.

Therefore I say.. fuck all of them and play Lazaro. There's a 99% chance he'll be either shit, or permanently injured, but I can't resist that thrill from the 1% chance. Exhilarating!

If we don't have much to spend, then I'd be happy with Florenzi. Always liked him and still think he'd do well, IF he can stay fit.

Just did a quick simulation with some estimated number according the rumour.
Apparently signing Bellerin on loan may cost higher than expected.
I think Arsenal would only let him go on free loan with full wage covered. Currently he's at £5.7m annually or €6.6m.
Dumfries. Let say he's at 15m without that Raiola fee and 3m wage for Raiola effect.
Molina, the cheapes option, at estimated 2m wage upgrade from 300k at Udinese.
Lazzari annual cost is bit higher because growth decree tax doesn't apply for him.
So, is keeping Lazaro is worth a shot? Hmm, I guess not.
Assuming we do have the cash flow now and hypothetically splash around €20m for Dumfries/Emerson/Molina is practically the same as keeping Lazaro and has the same impact to the annual cost.

...just to make it clear on this. Some of us incline towards Lazaro because there is literally zero interest in him. Gladbach is his second failed spell + everyone now see Lazaro is injury-prone on top of that.

So we are choosing between 1/ stuck with Lazaro + add Zappacosta/Florenzi to be more stuck or 2/ using Lazaro. 2nd option is a no-brainer.

If someone is stupid enough to offer Inter 10m, I don't think any fans would not drive Lazaro to the airport.

Nice one!

Though few things I feel needs some changes

- Bellerin is 3m€ net, not 6.6m€
- Lazaro's net salary is most probably not 2m€, but at most 1.5m€
- Dumfries transfer fee is rumored to be 20-25m€. I've read he has release clause of 15m€ but even if it was, I'm fairly certain we would have to pay at least 20m€ overall when Raiola commission is included.

Yeah, I think the most probable option for Lazaro would be getting him on loan again with us covering half of the wage again, saving us 1.5m cost.

Ah, I thought Bellerin was at 6.6m net wage assuming this is EPL wage level, and also according to this site.
If it just 3m then it's only € 4.560.000 annual cost then.
