I love Zirkzee but buying him just to let go of Thuram is making a move for the sake of making a move. They’re similar players with similar skills. I’d rather just keep continuity with Marcus. He’s been top notch for us this year. In the league at least.

We play incredible football but we can't walk it in every time, and short of sending Sommer into the opponent's half we eventually will run out of tricks. Need a Dybala/De Bruyne/Sneijder/etc type, a superstar who wins it for you when it's all going to shit if we want consistent deep CL runs.

So the current thinking is: Sanchez, Arnautovic and hopefully Correa out, Taremi in along a "high profile" purchase. Arnautovic and Correa are under contract so Inter will have pay something for those blunders, so exactly where is the cash coming from? Does that mean Dumfries stays, cause Inter can't afford an additional " high priced" replacement or are they happy with the Darmian/Buchanan model?

Until we hear around the first of June what monies really are available, I'm not buying any of this flummery.

Zirkzee and Thuram are completely different players, with different characterstics imo.

If you want to compare roles within our current system, Zirkzee fits best into that of Lautaro rather than Thuram. Zirkzee is also a player who likes to come to the ball and less to seek depth.

Zirkzee isn't a pure number 9, more like a 9.5, who can be found all over the field distributing the play. He's technically very refined with an immensely good ball control.

However, unlike Lautaro, Zirkzee tends to be too little in the place where he ultimately should be; in the opponent's 16-yard box. He lacks a bit of the real hunger to score, like a true striker.

with a Lautaro sale we could get both. David, with one year left on his contract won't go for more than 20-25M... And Zirkzee will probably cost 45-55M.

David, Thuram, Zirkzee and Taremi sounds fine... But I don't see any of those players score over 20 goals, so the midfielders will have to step up. We can't have only Frattesi being a consistent scorer, while Barella and Micky can't score more than 2 goals... Calhanoglu also ain't really scoring from open play.

David-Thuram with Taremi-Zirkzee as subs is unrealistic to me, but still I don't see any better options for the same or less money.

But I also don't think we would ever sell Lautaro. Not feasable

We need someone like Triplete Milito. Still remember how massive he was. Scoring out of nowhere and in crucial moments. General football fans praised Sneijder but Milito was the best that season imo.

Anw, it's unrealistic to expect a deal like that again. I'm also against selling Lautaro. He's still our best attacker and there are worse players with higher salaries. Besides, they are pricey af. Thanks to EPL teams, now we have random players who costs 80-100mil after one decent season.

We can only hope that our scout can do a miracle here. Any suggested names are too expensive for us.

Exactly we need an addition to Lautaro, not replace him. That player was supposed to be Lukaku but he couldn't repeat his Conte form and eventually gone mental. We still haven't really replaced Lukaku properly which clearly what was missing against Atletico. Thuram is just NOT that player and was brought here for different purposes.

We got away with it in Serie A because we're simply light years a head of everyone. We could put Acerbi in attack and still gonna spank everyone. However, it's a different story in the CL. That missing piece in attack has showed up.

People are discussing Zirkzee but in reality we are getting Immobile In this case Tuttosport seems more reliable.
Considering we are making 40m less than last year due to early CL exit.

This is ridiculous. Immobile is obviously declining and Lotito will squeeze everything what he wants for him. If Arnautivic is bad deal, this will be an atrocious one.
