This would be a good move for me. Some of you sound like we're selling Santon, not loaning him. You guys do know he would be back in 6 months right?
Worse at loaning out a youngster is keeping him home, and then play him 5 times in the next 6 months. That gives us nothing and its a waste, especialy when we're talking about a teen youngster not a 30 year old dude. A youngster needs to play, and with Mourinho we know, that whoever deserves it plays, and younsters will always have disadvantage in this situation over seniors.
This is something I always wanted, to loan younsters, so that they can get what they can't get at Inter - playing time. But if loaning Santon means the same situation as with him at Inter, meaning not playing at all, then it is no-no for me.
Also this co-ownership could be dangarous, I think we should avoid it at all cost.
What this loan will give us if Santon plays great there, and Kolarov plays great here? It gives us 2 valid options for the first team, and also gives us old Santon who can break into the first team. Santon playing will make the odds of him going back to oldself a lot bigger. If he would stay, and Kolarov would play good enough to play him, than Santon can find himself in the same situation next year, the year after maybe.
I don't think this is better than loaning out Santon to Lazio. What is so important to keep guy who will warm bench the next 6 months most of the time? Obviously if Mourinho is currently seeing that Santon is showing sings of going back to his oldself, than leave him here. But if not, loan can be only positive(if he plays).
I'm always pro when it comes to loaning youngsters who are not playing at Inter, just warming the bench. Same is with Krhin, if Mourinho doesn't see that he might get some playing time like Santon got last season, I'm all for loaning him out too. Same with Destro. This can be only good in the long term.
