If player is an attacking full-back, that doesn't mean he's a creative player. I'd prefer so much more actual creative players in the midfield, than some attacking fullback on the flank.
That is true.

Midfield should always be the priority, but somehow during last 10, 15 years we focused on either deffense, or offense(mostly offense) while the midfield should be the most importan formation of the team.

I hope though that during the summer, we will put a little more flair and creativity into the team, and we will loose some of the muscle, like Vieira for example.

Coutinho will be here so that's a plus, and also Ricky gave some glimpses of hope, if he would just take off. I hope one of the two(Hamsik, Gourcuff) would come and this would make our team the most ballanced in history of our team. It wouldn't be Barcelona, it isn't our style anyway, but with Coutinho and one of the two we would get more flair and creativity in expense of the muscle, that I think we don't need that much.

Just think about it Kolarov, Pandev, Hamsik/Gourcuff, Coutinho, young Deffender in the place of Suazo, Vieira, Mancini, Cordoba/Materazzi likes. This seriously would be the best ballanced team ever, and it's not impossible to make. Pandev is here, Kolarov isn't that expansive, and Hamsik, Gourcuff cost around 20-25mln, that isn't a little, but it is just one expensive buy, Moratti certainly can afford that.

Can't wait for the summer, we are making incredible progress in terms of transfers in last 5 years.

Don't forget Sebastian Giovinco who made his name at Empoli.

Lol, yeah, true :D

Anyway.. I think Kolarov would be great adition to our team... Chivu IMO is a CB, not full back. I never saw Chivu as a great LB, never thought he is the best option fot our LB position.. AND, i still think selling Maxwell was a mistake, biig mistake...

Kolarov, good defensively, good at attacking... Perfect LB IMO, always liked him, and always will... Can play as LM as well, even in the attack.. He is like Maicon to the lefl :)

Santon says yes to the loan to Lazio. Kolarov is closer.

Rome - A new Roberto Carlos for Inter. It's Aleksandar Kolarov, the Roberto Carlos of the Balkans, as he was dubbed early in his career because of a dynamite left foot that was so similar to the original. The transfer of the Serbian to Inter is already in session and it is becoming more and more likely. It seemed like the deal designed to take off next summer, but there was a sharp acceleration in the last days when one side has the understanding that it is better that the deal goes through now.

This is it
The club of Moratti has realized that Kolarov can serve immediately. Mourinho feels like the left-role is vacant (even though Chivu adapted the role) and would like that see the gap filled. Lotito, on the other hand, because of the case of Pandev (zero euros) has decided to remove the "non-transferable" status from the Serbian. The Lazio president has delayed once again to renew the contract which is expiring in 2012 (but Kolarov can leave as early as in the summer because of the Article 17). And so it is. Moratti, Branca and Lotito, Tare are ready to meet and try to bridge the gap which is still significant.

Yes from Santon Lotito values Kolarov at 15 million, a figure that he is willing to lower only in exchange for appropriate compensation. The first deal (Krhin and Destro) didn't interested the Lazio patron. The turnaround has occurred with the inclusion of Davide Santon. By letting Kolarov to Inter, Lazio will have the opportunity to use this gem, but only until the end of the season. Lazio are forcing a co-ownership, but they are watching with a great interest of a loan. Santon at Lazio would be very happy, because the spaces at Inter at the moment are denied. Also, he can grow up to go to the World Cup. But Santon, like his club, is just looking for a loan deal.

Wow Kolarov with a greater potential than Santon?

On loan for 6 months, not a big deal.

Yeah, that's just bullshit speculation, not gonna happen. Inter will never accept co-ownership and Lazio will never accept only loan deal to compensate a lesser transfer fee.

GdS speaks of Santon on loan and Krhin and Destro on co-ownership.

Like I said, I'm 100% against this deal.

Kolarov might be a good addition for us but no way at the expense of Santon's co-ownership. A loan deal would be the only acceptable deal for our side.:)

Santon is better off going there for 6 months and actually get some playing time... You all think Mourinho will start him but that ain't going to happen. Chivu and Zanetti are ahead of him unfortunetly...

I dont see the point of loaning out Santon if Kolarov is indeed joining us on a permanent basis. Santon cannot find a spot when he has Chivu and Zanetti to deal with. How is he gonna find a spot next year when he will have Chivu, Zanetti and Kolarov to deal with. And unlike Chivu and Zanetti, Kolarov's natural position is LB.

Also I didnt say it was a good idea to sort out our creativity problems with fullbacks. We dont have a striker like Drogba or Toni (2 years ago) to make complete use of these full backs, but its still better than doing nothing. Its mid-season. You wont find a player better than Kolarov to hep us improve as a team.

I see Santon more like a RB like Maicon than a LB like Chivu (which I consider central back)...
