He’s generalizing and what you said makes no sense. He’s there to support the teammates but Dalot fucked up big time. By your logic we should have conceded loads of these when he was our GK but it never happened

the Candreva goal was way worse than this anyway... Is that also not his fault?
And a goalkeeper does not have to support his teammates so far out when they are on the opposite side of the field. Dalot made a mistake, but thats not a reason you should concede a goal from fucking midfield.

Onana is obviously a class all round keeper. At the same time, when you play with someone like him, you know you're taking more risks. But his contribution as a sweeper should outweigh his negatives of playing as a sweeper too.

that being said, when you've got a bunch of potatoes for defenders, you need to improve on that to get the best out of Onana. Peak Julio Cesar wouldnt compensate for Maguire.
