Still confident in Strama. He learned lessons today I'm sure of that. At the end of the first half I liked how we were playing, a lot of pressure to Roma which followed in a goal for us. But Zeman outclassed him in the second half.

This is only the second game in the Serie A season, not the twenty-second. We need to calm down and not hit the panic button.

We did? My biggest worry is that there was very poor chemistry on all lines and the players didn't manage to play well together in the first tough game...

Need to see signs of improvement next matches.

Yes, that's my opinion. That was to me Strama's biggest failure. His approach to the game was wrong, he wanted to challenge Zeman and his possession offensive football. Roma have enough talent and technique to outplay us in that department, even more when our midfielders are all new to each other. That midfield might work in the next game, but not against Zeman's Roma.

The problem is our team doesn't have the understanding yet. It will get better only with time. And Strama getting it.

I think the mistake is because we played Nagatomo and Pereira on the same flank. They made the team quite unbalanced from a very attacking on the left to a defensive right side. I would have preferred Naga on the right and Zanetti on the left to cover Pereira. That would also take some burden of Gargano. Gargano was too busy locking the play in the center while covering Nagatomo and Pereira at the same time. We saw many times Sneijder and Guarin needed to fell deep on the left side to win balls. We were to concentrated with attacking on the left, Pereira, Nagatomo, Cassano, and Sneijder always played on the left side. Had we spread the game, we would play better. Now, some Zanetti haters would say it was Zanetti incapability to attack. I'd say no. With Nagatomo and Pereira very high on the left, we can't have a high RB as well, it would end up 15-0 for them.

I would actually also preferred not to play Pereira on this game, because he looked good with his technical abilities but he hasn't connected well with the team.

Then, for the sub, I was disappointed that Stramaccioni subbed out Cassano while I thought he would offer more than Palacio. Palacio wouldn't break the defense. I'd prefer some crazy idea like subbing Coutinho for Milito.

However, this games is really just down to tactical duel which Strama lost it. He should have learnt from Mourinho that to win against an attacking team is not by attacking them but by absorbing their desire to attack and hit them hard. We obviously had some good counter attack chances, but we didn't execute it very well and tend to try controlling the game by attacking more.

This team has a potential. I have no doubt about it and this is just 1 week since they get together.

I don't see why you put all the blame in Strama's approach. I don't see anything wrong in trying to have the same playing style against any opponent. If you are confident that with sneijder-cassano-milito you can hurt any defense than you should use that trio in every match. But Sneijder failed miserably for me tonight and milito was tired after 35min and this isn't Strama's fault.

The players used in midfield were perfect for me. They pressed roma in every ball , fought hard and evein injured 2 roma players thanks to this pressing. The problem was that there was 0 defensive work by our trio in attack .
You could see Osvaldo , Destro and even fucking Totti helping back very often during the 1st time especially while i never saw Milito , Cassano and Sneijder get past the midfield line. I fear the possibility that Sneijder & Cassano take too much power in the locker room and as a conseguence too much freedom in the pitch.

As i said in the other thread what worries me is the 0 reaction after the 2nd goald(similiar to our last 2 seasons) and the fact that no one of the 3 players entered in the field had an impact . Coutinho didn't even touch the ball if i'm not wrong.

Well that pissed me off too for team's part. What the fuck was that?! And Strama should have raged in the line to the team for the lack of effort and spirit.

You're wrong on Sneijder. Go watch the first goal, where did Sneijder passed the ball from. Sneijder dropped deep to get the ball. There was 1 failed offside trap because of him dropping deep. He dropped 2-3x into Nagatomo's zone to marked someone.

If we have a midfield who has been working together for a while, who understand where to pass and how to work together, I would not argue with you. I'd agree with Stramaccioni approach in attacking an attacking team. However, this team is new. Pereira played too wide in the beginning. Gargano lost leading to the first goal. Yes, the first goal is Gargano's fault (although Gargano played very good after that). If it was Osvaldo or Destro who scored, then I'd say Silvestre, but Silvestre-Ranocchia manmarked their players and Gargano as a DM should have dropped deeper to follow Florenzi.

Anyway, because the disorganized midfield we have, we should have played counter attack. Otherwise, we got what we got today. Roma disjointed our midfield, spreading Guarin-Gargano-Pereira and hit us hard.

I'd prefer to play safer at this point, just to make the team play as a unit first before taking a more risky approach. That's my opinion.

And your opinion is very good....i would add one thing, strama made mistake, he should play pereira as LB and and cambiasso as DM and gargano as DML .. that was unexpirience midfield tonight.. cambiaso would give us much more in defending space betwin two lines

most of y'all saw this game for what it was, Zeman raping Strama. I think switching Zanetti and Nagatomo would've been better, but other than that, I'd like our players to show more fight, like Sneijder did. And Cassano isn't ready to even start a game. He still has the skill, but not the fitness to play, IMO

Like I've mentioned before, Strama can't think we are Barcelona and try to outplay everyone. This attempted passing, controlling game play of his is good enough for the likes of Pescara but we'd be dominated against bigger teams. I said earlier that we should absolutely be competing for the scudetto. Sadly, Serie A is not that strong. The Roma match shows that there are fewer teams we can apply Stramaccioni's 'Dutch' football philosophy against.

not really,,
he offering more pace in forward,,
after he came in, we create so much chances, but we blew up that moment
instead keep push that pressure for rome and bring in coutinho to give roma pressure from both flank,,
b we calm down a bit, and bring cambiasso for pereira,, thats a crucial moment last night,,

would be nice if we bring coutinho and cambiasso together,, maybe replace guarin who seems tired

he started the game with the correct line up imo this team is still missing a motta esc tempo controller unfortunately nothing we can do about that now

correct line up,, but wrong tactic approaching on the pitch,,
at the start,, Pereira play too outwided,, it gives roma more space
and he's like play alone in left flank,,
after second half, strama seems fix that problem, and pereira play more like LCM than LM like first half
its good until 65 min, get one chances too shoot from distance
but he's cramp really ruin everything tbh,,

this game belong to Totti(super game last night) without him Inter surely will win. Get ur hands off from Strama...I like this Inter attacking play, and strama have a homework to do for the defense.

If Strama using video lesson method for the boys, They will see.. why Roma make 3 goals last night. How we out of position on pitch.

The boys need to be understand why we fail on defense. With Video Lesson..

Strama should say "We will kick ass in the next game".
so far our home games were not good.. but it's improving,
In Europa.. Lost and Tie.. Next, we will win...
In Serie A, .. Lost and Next will be a tie..., and after that a win

Are you even capable of making a post that isn't a cheap shot at Zanetti? You seem to have an agenda here tbh.
