Benji‘s ability was never in question - he has won everything there is to win as a protagonist in the respective squads and this with only 26 years of age. He was also the most consistent player in a rather messy Bayern side last season without matter which coach or system was involved.

The only way I would have agreed on passing on Benji would have been if we got Azpilicueta for free, Samardzic in midfield, and someone else than Arnautovic (higher quality) upfront. In that case we would have improved in more important positions, as I think that a combination of Azpi and Darmian as RCB would have been competitive enough.

Pavard is a world class player that’s in his prime years. And we got him for a very modest fee. With respect to Azpi and Darmian, I’d much rather have Benji even it means our midfield isn’t as creative or our 3rd and 4th strikers as good as we’d ideally want.

This really could be one of those things to look back on in a few years if Pavard stays at this level and Samardzic doesn't reach his potential.

I don't think that is the case. With the way the deal was structured, we would have come out ahead on the books because they paid straight up for Fabbian which was less than what we would pay for Lazar this season.

We were always interested in Pavard, Bayern simply drug their feet for as long as they could. They were never gonna sell him any time than before they did because they didn't have to, and really thought he was gonna want to stay.

I don’t know about that bro, that boy’s left foot is consistently on target. Only thing stopping him would be his mentality, big club player or small club player. If I choose to be superstitious then I would say there’s a good chance he lives up to his potential based on Udinese’s good track record of players turning into gems wherever they go. Unless my memory is failing me anyways fuck him! (For now at least)

His worst game for Inter so far but still moderately good at certain points. Does that make sense? I'm probably gonna rate him a 5/10 for this one.

The only problem when he came off is that Darmian is still on the pitch. Lazaro roasted Darmian more times.
