There's a little chance on libgen, they switched the first mirror (which is the best to download) to the second. Please notice it when you use the site, sometimes they make little changes like that.

Finished "Seed" by Lisa Heathfield. An interesting cult-themed fiction, looking forward to the sequel.

Currently reading "Revenge" by Yoko Ogawa. What a brilliant read it has been so far. Creepy and disturbing, yet so mind-blowing.

Thanks Wobblz :)

I guess these local SEA books are not as famous world wide, which is why it's so much harder to find

I managed to find it in the Bookmate app btw. It's not free per se, it's a subscription base app which cost about US$6 per month which I think is very reasonable!

Well, you're welcome, not that I actually did anything. :)

Yep, had a visit there as well. But paid is paid, we don't do that in Eastern Europe. :yao:

The book looks very interesting tho.

This one is on my hit list. Have seen the movie, so will try and tough out the book eventually.

It's generally pretty polarizing. However, I think anyone who enjoyed the movie is probably the type of person who would enjoy the book. Personally it's one of my favourites.

Just read Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

Garbage. It started off strong, and definitely pulled the right strings early with nostalgia.

After Part 1 Scene 1 however the thing fell apart. Characters' lines were, well, out of character. Plot was ridiculous. Let's just write this off as a cash grab by Rowling and pretend it never happened.

Rowling didn't even write the book, but yeah, all the reviews by fans and critics are calling it horrible to say the least. I never touched it to begin with.

I didn't know where to post this, but I felt very sad upon learning that William Peter Blatty died yesterday.

Blatty wrote possibly the best horror novel ever - The Exorcist - and will forever be remembered for adapting it into a most memorable movie.

He also wrote several comedies, including an Inspector Clouseau movie, and always inserted religious and philosophical material in his work that was deep and touching at the same time. A very sad loss for all of us who admire intelligent writing.

I’m working a job that allows me to read, so I’ll smash out about one history book a week. If anyone’s interested in any particular period, I can maybe recommend something.
