Fabio won't snub Juve

Inter’s Fabio Cannavaro has admitted that he would accept a summer move to Juventus.

"Every player in the world would like to play for them. They are a great and prestigious club," he said. "How could anyone turn them down?"

The defender has been linked with the Stadio Delle Alpi outfit after the arrival of Fabio Capello as Coach.

"I know that Capello rates me highly but it will be up to Inter to decide my future," added the 31-year-old.

The Nerazzurri are understood to be willing to release the former Parma man in exchange for Lilian Thuram.

Juventus are looking for a new central defender after their nightmare defensive performances last term.

Now this will never happen. The board are not that stupid.
I can`t imagine how this swap would improve our team.

Canna is not loyal.. one of my first posts on this site was telling u guys we must axe him.. he is not committed and gives more for his national team.
I want him out now.. and i wish he is out, i dont care he is italy captain... he wouldnt win juve the scudetto.. he didnt do it with parma in their glory days, when he was much better.. he is out of form since 3 or 4 years... not consistent and im glad he will leave..

I dont want Thuram though instead of him, this will be a poor signing.

Bull$hit. ;) Silly season. :p

But if it's true, f*ck no!!! ;) Cordoba is our RCB if we play 3-men-defence or 4-men-defence. That department doesn't need to be improve. The possibility of moving Cafè to the left is also invalid since we have Coco, Pasqui and most recently, Favalli, for that position.

And we all know who controls the defence and offence of our right flank. :proud::proud::proud:

How can you say Canna is not loyal when he`s been trying so hard and playing with an injury for the last ONE AND A HALF YEAR!!! He`s seen we have problems and has stayed through to help, he hasn`t asked to be allowed to take a 3 month break to treat his injury.
I agree his performances haven`t been of the highest standards, he made quite a few mistakes, but the last thing you can accuse him is being dissloyal.
Think about the fact that this is last Championship with the national team (he said so), it`s normal that he doesn`t want to miss it.

He is not loyal, and i want him out..! If he wanst to be at inter, he couls have said no sorry im staying here at least for another season to show them how good i am.!
Something Kieron Dyer, the newcastle winger stated after being linked a move to a better club. Dyer suffered injuries and was in consistent, but he said ill first show them what i am capable of..

Canna on the contrary didnt say that, he is willing to play for them.. AND u know what, he will go.. if he didnt go to juve, he will leave for another club.. im sure about it big time..

This is my opinion.. you have another opinion thats cool.. we are here to debate.. i would love to see a normal consistent centre back rather than canna..!

Yeah, I`m here to debate stuff and maybe get a better understanding of how things work, I`m glad people have different opinions and have arguments to back them up.

About Canna, I said what I said believing that all his public declarations saying he wants a move to JuveMerda are all press BS, which I think is highly possible, `cause no player in his sane mind would say that he wants to move to another club when he still has a contract going with his current club.

Ah, don't buy anything you read on the press. ;) Canna may have the Dyer feeling inside his heart but the question he was given was unappopriate so he can't answer they way. Actually, I admit I was too hard on Canna. I think he can give much more if his injury problem is solved. I hope and I think it's better for both of Canna & Inter if Canna goes for a rehabilitation or therapy to treat the injury once and for all, even if it means he may miss some of the matches of next season. ;)

we have had enough with treting players which never gave us a thing. Kanu, Fadiga, and now canna.. i didnt mention ronaldo cuz he is a different case when he was with us.. Canna is not like ronaldo and he is not the ronaldo of defenders.. seriously not at all..!

I wish he leaves and he gets cured elsewhere.

 to Hamster.

People are so fast/eager to condemn players when they read one freakin rumor.

This rumor is bullsh!t, at least part of it. Cannavaro never said such things. He only said "It´s always nice to hear there´s interest, but i will remain at Inter"

Cannavaro Not Going Anywhere
Latest News | News Archive

06/08/2004. Fabio Cannavaro has denied he will be leaving Inter this summer to join Capello's Juventus.

The Italian national team captain feels honoured by the bianconeri's interest, but he insists he will not be going anywhere. "I'm not leaving, but it pleases me to know that I'm admired by Capello and a team like Juventus."
SA Europe

======================
This should clarify things...we shouldnt read too much into everything that is said. Canna wherever he played he was always faithful to his jersey i cant see how someone can say he is unloyal when he was playing with an injury rather than getting treated and getting his money while relaxing.Instead he gave all he can for the team,if thats unloyalty let me have more of it in our club. He never disrupted the team in any way or complained or made any stupid comments too..He was pure class and IMO he was the best defender for us towards the end of the season.

Canna is a champion and he would never make such a stupid statement. Don't believe everything you read.

Mancio coming, so 4-man defence.. What do you say? Can CAnna and Cordoba play together in the middle?

Coco-Canna-Cordoba-J Zanetti

That's nice. Canna won't go. He has said it so many times..

I beg to differ. He didn't do that for inter's sake, if he cared about inter he could've had the surgery, missed couple of months and return 100%. Instead, he wanted to captain the NT in euro04 and having the surgery would've dampened his chances.

We really have a weak management that can't put inter's interest above all. What good is it to have a 70% Canna???? :depress:

Sorry Hamed, I won't say that Cannavaro made the mistake by opting to play for National Team !

c'mmon !! It could be Cannavaro's last tournament as well, who knows ?
And captain of Italian national team... If I was in his place, then I would have also done the same thing... hope i was in his place :D

to play for the national team in euro / world cup is always great ;)

still, i don't think we might need him next season, if we play with back 4.

:D :)

You can beg all you want, but your "statement" is silly as ever. "If he cared about Inter..." :dielaugh: "Instead, he wanted to captain the NT in euro04..." Sorry, but i cannot do anything but :dielaugh: to your post.

"...70% Canna"

Oh please!

Whats wrong with what Hamed said..? I cant see what did he say wrong..
I dont care if its important for him to captain the national team and play crap with us..!

All i know is that as a captain, he should care for the club he is playing at.. I dont know whats wrong with you guys, are we talking about the same player..?
A player who only played only good in the last 5 or 6 games this season..! A player who played like a a 15 year old defender against Marseilles in the 1st leg and was a main factor in us losing the match..

I want players like Materazzi who said he only cares about Inter, something that comes before the national team. Materazzi said inter is his "national team".
A player like Adani who played with his nose got broken and kept a mask on his face and was our best defender on the pitch.

These are examples of hard core defenders. A defender like Puyol is someone who cares for his club more than anything..!!

But what did Canna reply, when they asked him if he is interested in Juve. He said im an inter player and the matter is in Inter's hands..

Why didnt he simply say, no way ill leave, my future lies here, and i love this club and its fans..

Plz give me a break..!
