ambition, playing alongside barella, inter - despite current circumstances - is still probably more 'put together' than this Milan team who just sacked Maldini, pissed off Leao, and sold Tonali, playing in a 3 midfield formation..

I think there are reasons. We just need to move quickly.

They spent some money on Loftus-Cheek. They now offered 15m for Pulisic. Whatever's left I guess they'll try to save for Frattesi.

No one waited for Inter except for Barella. This guy also won't do it, I'd be impressed if he does.

Inter's good relationship with Sassuolo is worth nothing.

Actually the difference will be bigger. Sassuolo wants 35mln + Mulattieri as far as I understand. His value is about 7 mln, so Samardzic will be 25-7= 18mln, because we will sell him regardless. Samardzic's salary will be less than 2 mln imo, while Frattesi asks around 2.5-3mln.

Only real chance we have is if Frattesi is genuinely dead set on coming here and willing to wait a bit to close the deal. And I mean actually dead set on coming here, and not in a Bremer kinda way. Otherwise there are other teams that can satisfy Sassuolo, and not just with food, wine, and handjobs. Roma could make a play for him and might have a good chance if they can secure the funds since he’s a romanista. I don’t think he wants to go to Milan or else he’d already be there, although he may accept them eventually if he gets impatient.

Yeah, we shouldn't overpay. We should bank on the guy wanting to come here. If he doesn't want to wait and rather go to Roma (or Milan), we'll be my guest.

My take has been that we should look elsewhere if the price doesn't come down.

This is really ridicioulous. One time they just gave you the player if the offer was decent and the player wanted to go there. Now they need to do meetings and see how they could get money from the clubs, the preference of the player does not really mean much apparently. Why is it so hard to find a deal? Like 25M + Mulattieri now and next year 5-10M or something like that? Juve paid Locatelli in how much payments, 3000? They probably still are paying.
