This a million times. Absolutely dreadful player. I rather play the backup goalkeeper of the youth team as a wing back than spending money on Dumfries.

If he comes and makes me eat my words, I'll buy a shirt of him and run butt naked a circle around the city I live.

People who didn't watch him said that yes. People who followed his career knew what Lukaku was capable of.

But I do get your point though. But Dumfries is just being hyped for 2 or 3 good games during the euros.

He was among Dutch best players playing in 352 as a wingback this summer in Euro 2020 under novice coach De Boer, he seems to have grinta , high stamina and workrate ( just as Nandez), built like Lukaku . Can be a useful body with Dzeko in free kicks and corners. Price affordable. There's always ??? for a player coming from Eredivise to Serie A, but physical football is reality nowadays. I'd choose Dumfries over vegan Paris drag queen Bellerin any day of the week.

Dumfries is all about speed, strength, stamina and a lot of commitment. Don't expect anything more from him. He's a classic workhorse.

Although I might have sounded a bit harsh before because I clearly feel he's not a player we should be spending money on, I respect the guy for achieving what he did with the limited technical capabilities he has.

For the price, it’s worth it. Darmian is a serviceable player but he’s far from great. And since he’s the main RWB he’s not gonna perform as well as he did last year when he was Hakimi’s sub. Given many more minutes he’ll play and teams not also having to prepare for the best RWB in the world simultaneously.
