One of our few players who gave 100 % on the pitch. Unfortunately, this is the limit of Dumfries. He rarely beats his marker, he has eyes to run behind the defence although he loses footrace against speedster like Theo, and his crossing is okay too. He improves tremendously in defence, Theo was very dangerous whenever Dumfries is not on him. That being said, you cannot expect to have Dumfries as the main wingback if we want to reach further stage in Europe. We need better wingback as our main offensive outlet from the wing while Dumfries can act as the reliable sub like Darmian and Dambro do.

It's also quite likely that we sell Dumfries if a decent offer comes, so even if he improves a lot and becomes a core player, he's not safe. If he fails to keep it up, he's also gone because we'll need an improvement... Tough spot to be expendable.

I was impressed by Koulibaly one of the best at his position I've watched, so the fact that he had to mind his P&Qs with Dumfries is to both their credit!

To be fair a lot of world class players have been stopped before by Koulibaly, so that's not really a surprise.

Dumfries was one of the better Inter players today and also 1:1 was a good result, all things considered.

Seriously, Dumfries is one of the things going right in this team right now. He’s the least of our worries.

Lautaro going on what seems like 10 game cold streaks sandwiched by penalty goals, Dzeko being too old to effect games after the 60th minute, De Vrij committing an error leading to a goal every game, or Handanovic in general seem like bigger problems.
